Steven Gerrard hopeful of Liverpool clinching "one or two" more signings
[size=1.125em]Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard believes that "one or two" more faces could be welcomed to Anfield before the close of the transfer window.

The Merseyside outfit have acquired defender Kolo Toure, forward Iago Aspas, midfielder Luis Alberto and goalkeeper Simon Mignolet during the window so far.

Any dealings will have to be completed by managerBrendan Rodgers within the next four days, but Gerrard believes that business can still be done on Merseyside.

"The changes the manager has made during the summer are really positive and hopefully there are still one or two more players to come in," the Liverpool Echo quotes Gerrard as saying.

The Reds take on Manchester United at Anfield this Sunday with a 100% record under their belts so far this season.

Liverpool have opened talks with Sporting Lisbon over Tiago Ilori and Ajax for Toby Alderweireld as the club look to strengthen their defensive options.

The Reds, who are already without the injured Martin Skrtel and Sebastian Coates, lost Kolo Toure to a groin problem this week and are short of centre back cover.

But manager Brendan Rodgers hopes to rectify that with the double signing of Sporting ace Illori and Ajax hard man Alderweireld.

Illori, a Portugal under-20 international, was born in London and is keen to try his hand in the Premier League after breaking through in Lisbon.

Liverpool are believed to be ready to offer ￡6million for his services, and believe he would accept a switch to Anfield over the Spanish clubs who are tracking him.

A deal for Alderweireld is more complicated, with Atletico Madrid and Roma both already in negotiations over a switch, but the player has admitted his desire to play for Liverpool before – and that could be key.

Liverpool are expected to put in a ￡10million bid before the weekend, but consider PSG’s Mamadou Sakho as another option if the transfer doesn’t go ahead.

The talented defender has been attracting a lot of interest of late, with Monaco and Valencia among clubs expressing interest in his services.

However, Liverpool were always believed to be leading the chase for the 20-year-old and they seem to have finally reached an agreement with the player’s employers.

O Jogo has suggested that the Reds have submitted a 7m bid.

LIVERPOOL have made a ￡19.7m bid for Dynamo Kyiv striker Andriy Yarmolenko, according to reports in Italy.

Liverpool have been linked with Andriy Yarmolenko
And bookies have reacted by slashing the odds on the Ukraine hitman to arrive at Anfield this transfer window.
He is now just 2/5 to make the switch to Liverpool after Sky Italia revealed an offer had been made today.
And those reports were backed up by Ukranian newspaper Gazeta, who claim Liverpool are close to sealing a deal for the 23-year-old star.

AC Milan had also shown an interest in Yarmolenko but his agent has insisted his client wants a move to the Premier League.
Yarmolenko's representative Mikhail Gulordava said: "He would like to follow in the footsteps of [Andriy] Shevchenko. Premier League clubs are also interested."
The frontman has bagged 39 goals in the past three seasons for Kyiv.

没有阿。。这个之前我已经有提过。。只是我是觉得好像洗手哥的情况。。。没人了才选他的。。。
热刺报价艾里申才8m虽然ajax放价1200-1500万。。。根本就是便宜到。。。罗帅那里可能那么笨跑去买更加贵的。。。
何况他手头只有2600万。。。用了接近2000万他就只剩下600万了。。。变成只够买ilori...

且不说他联赛因为恐怕他的联赛没那么高级。。哈哈
国家队入球也是很不错表现。。。
