伊党主席哈迪阿旺今日率领该党秘书达基尤丁、副主席依德里斯阿末等人与民系党主席阿都卡迪现身记者会。正式宣布将与马来西亚民族联系党（Parti Ikatan Bangsa Malaysia）结盟。

据了解，民系党是由前新闻部长阿都卡迪在2015创立，声称要以亲民路线延续建国先辈的精神。该党的副主席也是国父东姑阿都拉曼的孙子--东姑姆依努丁（Tunku Muinuddin Putra）。

伊党在今日的记者会表示，选择民系党合作是因为双方拥有相同的政治理念，今后这个结盟将以温和的形式为导向，只针对不认同的课题进行反对，不会“为反对而反对”。

He was a practicing lawyer at Hisham, Sobri & Kadir and Kadir, Khoo & Aminah and a prominent politician in Malaysia and has served the Federal Government of Malaysia for more than 30 years. His involvement in the Malaysia Federal Government service began in 1970 where he held the position of Political Secretary, Parliamentary Secretary, Deputy Minister and Minister in various ministries. He was holding the position of Minister of Information prior to his resignation from the Cabinet in 2006. Prior to that, he was the Minister of Culture, Arts and Tourism from 1999 to 2004 where he was also the Chairman of Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board.
