I also just back frm Taiwan trip 1 mth ago. This is my tour guide + driver. So far we all very happy with the trip.
You can whatapp him or LINE to ask for trip planning and amt of money needed for 包车. It actually depend on on the distance of the journey and how many person (normally one day around TWN5k to 7K for new van). He can only speak Chinese. From my experience you need to check few thing before you decide on the van u rent.
For more than 5 person to 6 person you can actually either rent their yellow cab (Toyota WISH, less lugage) or rent their 9 seaters. I will prefer 8 seater as the seat is far more comfortable, the legs can put straight as a lot of time our journey actually need to sit in car few hours.... ._.||| . The time we went have 10 people so we rent one van and one yellow cab. The wish is actually not comfortable for people sit at the back row......and dun forget you all still have luggage. So need to think about the space to put your luggage. I guess the van is just nice for 5 person. This van we rent is very new, only few mths old and the driver is very friendly and accommodate. Free his wifi in the car and even prepare some snack for my kids. You need to take note on any extra charge also, normally renting of the car is counted by 9 hrs per day, some even charge for parking fee etc. Of course my this driver never charge us extra that's why I spending time to help him recommend people. haha....but I also just sharing my experience, hope u find a suitable one.
1) how old is the van? safety is important.
2) is the van frm legal travel company, so that insurance is cover.
3) Don't just simply choose the cheaper as the standard of the driver and van may also not good.
Feel free to contact him for quotation before you decide, you can get few quotation but just keep in mind the impt points on top.
