Hi digidigi, congratulation for buying a dream house in cascadia.
Do you know that when you take mortgage from bank, you are required to buy MRTA (mortgage reducing term assurance)?
then what is MRTA? in general, MRTA covers death and disability. meaning when you are no longer be with your family or total permanent disability, then the balance of the housing loan will no longer be paid.
However, have you thought of if you have one of the 36 critical illness, eg. cancer, stroke, heart attack, and the illness affect your earning power, you still need to pay the loan!!!
I would like to share with you the other MRTA plan which can be used to supplement your current MRTA plan.
Please contact me if you would like to find out more on MRTA.
