冰岛租车，保险该买其他公司的吗？

Deposit: Lessee's/guarantor's credit card imprint will be taken at the start of all rentals for security reasons, even when a voucher covers the cost of the rental. This credit card may be used, by the Lessor, to pay any additional cost at the end of the rental period such as damages to the vehicle, which are not covered by any insurance, penalty fees, fines for traffic violations, parking fines, missing fuel or any costs as a result of the Lessee's use of the rental vehicle, even though the charge is higher than the deposit. Deposit amount will be placed on the credit card account to be owed by the Lessor, at Lessee's date of pickup and may holds as long as 30 days, depending on the issuing bank policy. The deposit hold may not be released in case of if the vehicle is returned damaged (see article 2.2.2.2). The deposit amount is 100 EUR if you have excess waiver insurance through third party insurance provider that fully covers the deductible amount, for all cards, debit and credit cards that support authorization only transaction. If you do not hold excess waiver insurance the deposit amount is 1500 EUR for Visa credit cards and 2900 EUR for all other credit cards. 红色那段是写明如果你有买保险就会在您的信用卡扣除100 EUR，当作可能你会中3万，超速，那些~因为这些不是立刻会有的

我问过银行，租车和酒店应该是一样收押金的，这些押金是怎样算的，银行说一般酒店收的押金如果两个礼拜这笔账刷了，酒店没有呈交上去就会当作扣除了

租车的押金就会刷死，意思是你要给钱先，如果租车公司没问题取消，这笔钱银行就会还去你的卡里~

如果没有买他的保险就会要你1500 EUR ~ 2900 EUR的押金，如果你信用卡给他刷这个押金，他就有权利Bill你，所以山长水远，我去到哪里会预备好一个不能刷超过1000马币的卡给他当押金，如果他硬要收押金，就给cash他，不然傻傻刷了1500 EUR 大概是7500马币左右随时Bill你~

其实FairCar超级便宜，有台湾网友给好评，也有老外给负评，所以信用卡的押金要小心使用~

有whatsapp吗？我们可以share行程看看，我airbnb已经book好了应该不能改哈哈~您呢？旅馆都预订好了？或着我们可以一起走，当然个玩个的，但有个照应咯~

他是这样说啦，买了那个zero的保险就不需要给高额的押金，但现场会是怎样我也是在担心着，我租的是nissan，车龄应该是3年车，但最后他给什么车又另外说的，T&C写了同级车款我也要接受~

我们将在4月前往冰岛，跟lagoon car rental租了2x2的车，还在考虑要买哪些保险的时候阅读了各位大大的comments，看到很多人都推荐world wide insurance。昨天我写了email去询问到底他们的car insurance coverage是包括那一些， 内容如下，各位大大可以参考：

我写的：

Hi,

We will be travelling to Iceland and planning to rent a 2x2 car for 4 days sometime in April.
We are looking at the deluxe plan, we would like to check if the following are covered under the car rental insurance offered by your company before proceed to purchase it:
1) SAAP (Sand and Ash Protection)
2) TP (Theft Protection)
3) Gravel Protection

Hi,

You are covered for damage caused by gravel, sand, ash or accidental water damage provided you only drive on roads considered to be the main highways in the country you are visiting this does include F roads in Iceland as long as they are public highways. You would not be insured to drive off-road for the purposes of exploring away from the main highways, but would be covered if you needed to travel off-road to access your accommodation.

I can also confirm that we do not require you to purchase a base CDW cover from the rental company for our insurance to be insuring the vehicle but if this is included our policy will insure you for the excess/deductible on the rental companies CDW.

- Damage to tires, wheels, or glass COVERED
- Damage to the under-body of the car or suspension COVERED
- Damage due to rocks kicked up by other cars COVERED
- Damage due to sandstorms or flooding COVERED

1) SAAP (Sand and Ash Protection) COVERED
2) TP (Theft Protection) COVERED
3) Gravel Protection COVERED


Lagoon car rental charge 我们 EUR32 per day的保险费，而world wide insurance只charge我们11GBP. 这真是很大的分别！

基本上不用买租车公司的保险应该没问题的，不过他们可能会非常严苛地检查你的车，就一点小事就非常贵，这也是我担心的事情。
虽然worldwideinsurance已经有包了，但得要有incident report那些资料，那些钱你需要自己先赔，才跟保险公司claim。
另外就是，如果你没有和租车公司买insurance，你可能需要付比较多的deposit，大多都直接debit进你的信用卡。
我是有拿基本的insurance+worldwideinsurance。
你可以参考看看哦。

他们的回复是如下：

there is no security deposit. We only need your credit card number to put on the contract as a guarantee in case of the damage, but we won't block any money on your credit card.

如果是买他们家的保险，什么事情发生我们不需要先付钱，对吗？

那这样子的deposit 比较好。之前我遇过的是直接扣，然后再还回来，汇率便差就我们亏

关于车险的问题嘛，其实要看是他们家自己的还是他们也是拿third party的车险。
我之前拿过全险的就直接还车就可以走人了。
所以这个我也不清楚
