SINGAPORE - The former principal of River Valley High School (RVHS) has been sentenced to four weeks of jail today (Jan 21) for lying about his extramarital affair with a vendor to a public servant. 61-year-old Koh Yong Chiah, who had pleaded guilty in December for supplying false information to a Ministry of Education (MOE) senior officer as part of a corruption probe, will be appealing the sentence, Channel NewsAsia reported.

Koh, who was once dubbed one of MOE's"super principals" when he appointed cluster superintendent in 1999 overseeing 11 schools in the south zone.
