The motley crew consisting of Darius, Jasniza, Sue Yi, and Sabrena were roped in by Siva to perform under Ombakombak ArtStudio in 2013. With a deep abiding love for the heritage areas of Penang gently cultivated from a young age through the projects of Ombak-Ombak and Anak-Anak Kota, the girls came from a background of music and dance, and have repeatedly conveyed the stories of Penang through notable shows such as Kisah Pulau Pinang, Ronggeng Merdeka, and Georgetown Heboh under the tutelage of established veterans in the performing arts, Prof Dr Tan Sooi Beng and Aida Redza.
With the addition of Darius in Victoria Street Project 2013, the four street singers continue to relate quirky and interesting local facts through traditional boria-style songs. Siva, a highly accomplished drummer and human metronome, leads the group with his astute sense of timing and intricate rhythms.
