我有一部fax
用的是telekom line
(最普通的direct line fax吧)

请问大家这部fax 应该是用 PSTN 或是 PBX ?

我需要将这fax line 链接去我的 all in one network printer
(就是电话线直接插进去printer的line port)

printer可以set fax 的settings

fax mode 有G3 和 G4
(我选着了G3)

我试了PSTN
- 可以fax in
- 不能fax out

请问各位大大有相关的fax machine经验吗？

如果你公司有分线系统在( e.g. extension 123、122、111）这就是PBX，每个station/line需要dial a number first，才可以fax出去。通常是9，follow by your outgoing number +60xxxxxxxxxx。

如果你没有PBX，PSTN就是你要选的setting。

set G3就好。

公司有分线系统
但是是另外一个号码A +60 123111222

FAX line 是另一个号码 B +60 123111333

所以应该没有关系到PBX吧

可是选了PSTN
- 只能fax in
- 不能fax out

见PSTN不能fax out就试下 PBX

选了PBX
- 能fax in
- 也能fax out

- 但是很多fax收不到，也很多fax send不到
- fax in 有时候 customer 说已经fax 了， 可是我这里的fax machine根本没有反应
- 有时候 fax machine 有line signal indicate正在receiving fax ， 可是receive failed ，
  看了error code 只是说 network communication error, ask sender to fax again
- fax out , 有时候 send failed, 查了error code 只是说 ask receiver to check destination machine


请各位大大给予意见

这问题是最近才开始吗？有什么装修之类令线路改变。

可能是fax机坏了，如果要测试是否坏了，就得换个新的fax机来test。再来就是换line，在别的地方用这fax machine fax。这这两个test是必要的。如果坏了，就有很多怪情况。

假设fax machine是tested OK，这就是说你的direct line from 你公司去到destination number中间有一定程度的
干扰，比如旧铜线不好了，或其他阻扰。

你是用telekom线fax吗？为什么是+6012的。

其实, fax machine有个Error Correction Mode (ECM）Setting： Enable/Disable ，这个对于的troubleshooting有帮助。

以前是用普通fax machines没有问题的
现在公司改用这部all in one network printer 才有问题的

所以不是fax settings的问题？
不关PSTN / PBX的 事？

嗯。
我的printer 是 Fuji Xeror ApeosPort 350 I
好像没有ECM setting 可以set。


country setting 和 dial tone 那些应该没有set 错。


基本上我的问题还是徘徊在 到底是用PSTN 或是 PBX

set PBX，會有自動insert 2 秒的pause tone before dialing，簡單來說就是特地變慢，讓連接成功率變高。就如你說話太快，對方是老人家就聽不到。可能你這個fax 的dial speed太快了。

有個setting 是叫BAUD rate，可以從9600調下到7200 ，有幫助的。

你的telekom 线是 each tel. number using different 线 或 2 numbers using the same line 线的？

一般情况都是 PSTN。至于你要解释为什么PBX就可以fax in and out，这个答案还是围绕在我所说的，公司有PBX就set PBX，没有就是PSTN，这是正确做法。

有个可能是因为你的线是用disctintive ring pattern detection DPRD技术来分两个tel number的,  你第一次用新fax machine, setup 里必须让fax machine 学习learn分辩哪个是fax call，哪个是ring call。
