Sadly, despite the girl’s gutsy urge to protect herself and her belongings, Malaysians can’t help but question the video’s authenticity. We’re not saying that a petite girl isn’t capable of such body strength, but you’d expect anyone with any experience robbing would still be able to overpower anyone half his size.
Furthermore, the clip where the woman beats the man while he’s nailed to the ground takes place behind a large black object that was probably intentionally set over there to block the view. The video quality also seems extremely clear for what is only just a CCTV footage.
But whether or not this video is fake, the fact that a woman is willing to fight back in a moment of crisis should inspire women to do the same. However, if the thief has a weapon with him, you should just surrender your belongings and not provoke him into harming you. If you don’t know any self-defense techniques, you can protect yourself with these safety tips.

Kudos to the gutsy lady who fought off the snatch thieves. It really took guts to bring down one suspect, however, please do take note snatch theft always works in pairs.
Our message is to be aware of your surroundings. Also take note that these thieves can be armed either with knives or machetes.
It would be a good practice to wait for the gate to close before getting out from the car. Make it a good habit.
