The causes of sexual assault in our society
Sexual assault is getting worse inour society. According to sources from Polis Diraja Malaysia, sexual assault caseswere reported increased 109% from year 2003 to 2007. There are many causes of this crime like pornography,family and relationship context. Pornography addiction is diagnosedwhen an individual engages in the overuse or abuse of pornography to the extentthat they experience negative consequences. Pornography addiction directlycause sexual crimes and influenced the way of thinking of a people. Nowadays,with the easement of multimedia tools, pornography can be easily obtained andit seriously influenced those people especially for teenagers. Consequently,many teenagers nowadays influenced by these materials. Besides that, children who areexposed to violence at home are more likely to be involved in violent intimaterelationships. Attitudes and behaviors of children is depends on the structureof the family. As we can see, poor parental child-rearing, poor supervision,physical abuse, neglect and separations from their parents caused the attitudeproblems and directly caused the crime problems. The intimate relationship betweenman and women may cause sexual assault. Sometimes, it just caused bymiscommunication between man and women. Aggressive man will get the wrongsignal or communication during the conversation or body language. For anexample, women who wear less and their acting can give the wrong signal to somepeople and may caused sexual assault. As a result, many sexual assault caseswere caused by this factor. There were many causes such as pornography, family and relationshipcontext may cause sexual assault. It can be avoided in our daily life bythe cooperation of many sides like government, family and schools. By knowingall of these causes, we can avoid the aspects which will cause the sexualassault. |
