在Australia驾车是不用申请国际驾照的,马来西亚的驾照就可以了。
但租车一定要慎选,我们就是选择了一个不负责任的公司,导致回来马来西亚后还有很多问题。

朋友C收到租车公司的电邮说他们要求我们赔偿AUD987.47(因为他们在没有通知朋友C之前,已经尝试charge她的信用卡,但是因为朋友C的信用卡limit过不到,所以他们才发电邮给她)

我们回复租车公司,要求他们证实以下的疑问:
1. 报价单(车的哪个部分被损坏了)有照片的话可以电邮
2. 我们在归还车的时候,已经和租车公司联络了,他们说总之在12MN之前归还都可以,他们会有员工在。结果没有人,其他公司的都有员工,就这间没有!(我们打电话给他们,他们说把锁匙放入他们的信箱就可以了,那我们不会对过后的损坏负责任)
3. 从归还期算起,他们10天后才电邮我们说有损坏,太不合理。
4. 除此,我们租车的时候已经被告知有保险,但为什么还是charge回我们的?
5. 为什么在还没有通知我们的情况下,charge我们的信用卡?

租车公司回复了:
他们attach了照片和报价单,但考虑到我们归还车的时候,他们的员工不在,所以他们给我们“打折”,只需我们赔偿AUD389.50 加GST。。。

因为很难翻译,所以我把整份Email放上来:
Refer to your email dated 6/5/2011, please answer our questions append below before we further discuss about the quoted claims: - (1) With reference to the attached photo (we took it on 12.04.11 at Perth Airport when we returned thecar), you can zoom in and have a look; there were no damages or even scratches as quoted by your good company. (2) In view of your aforesaid email dated 6/5/2011, which you had mentionedthat the said Vehicle 1DMK254 was checked and photo had been taken atthe Perth Airport but unlikely that your staff or relevant agent didnot show up for the key collection during the agreed drop time, furthermore your photos was not taken at the Airport, but at the place that we weren't recognized. (3) The scratches (damages) as shown in your photos seem old, and cannot beproved that they are belongs to 1DMK-254. Besides this, after sendingfor comparison by using your photos with ours, we noticed thatthe body skirt (specs) at your photos are totally difference type from1DMK-254 [Please noticed that we have obtained some professional advises from our local Car Technician]. (4) Your inspection photo did not show any date, time & place of its takenand the claimed damage places seem very unclear. (5) Again, please bare in mind that for not keeping in touch with us on time wasyour internal mistake. Because NOONE did the checking on-the-spot when wereturned the car. Furthermore, we did not sign any letter/formto confirm and/proof the NEW damages were caused by us. (6) We dropped the key at 10:00pm on 12/04/2011 at Perth Airport, XXXX Car Rent counter, while the Damage Sheet showed the time of Reportby Mr David is at 11:00am on 13/04/2011, which was 13 hourslater, hence we shall not be responsible on any incident happened duringthe time frame. There were chances of using the car by your appointedAgent and/or Third Party after the return. (6) How long is the distance between Perth Airport and location #606 as mentionedat your Damage Sheet? We shall not be responsible any damage duringthe driving journey by your Reporting Officer, Mr David and/or any ThirdParty, please provide his/her/their staff identity card/clarificationand/or panelship/license/business/professional certificate. (7) Point to the Damage & Lost Items Assessment Sheet dated 13/4/2011, pleaseexplain the description: - (a) "Dent to Right QTR Panel on top" (b) "Check Left Rear tyre" (c) "anel & Paint LHSill - $389-50" (d) "anel & Paint RH1/4"- $508-20" and may i known the Identity of Mr David which he can quotethe damage and repair charges on the same time which the said charges is supposeto be finalized after inspection and repairing by your appointedPanel Specialist Technician. (8) Point to the Bill of Estimate No. 2937 & 2938 dated 19/4/2011, please explain the description: -
(a) Bill of Estimate No. 2937 & 2938 have shown the damage and repair are on the both sides, Left and Right ofthe aforesaid KIA CERATO 4doorCar: - =But our Photo taken on 12/4/2011 did not show any damage at all; =But no car accident happen during our rental period, if yes, i believe thereare relevant police report has been lodged to the local Police Station andhence, please proof to us such evidence.
(b) Please provide the GPS Photo and Report to be shown the time and place of theaccident happen to proof the damage and repair itemized in your Billof Estimate No. 2937 & 2938.
(c) Please provide the Identity/Evidence documents of MR Ben which is fully in-chargedto quote the Bill of Estimate No. 2937 & 2938.
(d) Why the description of damage of both Damage & Lost Items Assessment Sheet dated 13/4/2011 & Bill of Estimate No. 2937 & 2938 dated19/4/2011 quoted by Mr David and Mr Ben is under big different damageand repair work.
(d) with reference to your Bill of Estimate No. 2937 & 2938, both were statedthe "Total Payable by Insurance Co", hence why you stillcharged us the repair fees while they are going to be covered byinsurance?
As mentioned in the Rental Terms and Conditions in the ReservationConfirmation dated April 10, 2011 at 08:00 AM, our payment of$221-01 already contains the Standard coverage (LDW) is includedin the rental rates with a damage recovery fee of $3300 for Multi VehicleAccidents and an additional $2200 for Single Vehicle which enough tocover your VERY UNFAIR & HUGH SUSPICIOUS damage claims.
Hence, i believe all the above doubt question already showthere are VERY UNFAIR to us due to your so called investigation alreadytook 2 weeks time to inform us on these damage, and we suspected thatthese damage may be caused within this time frame (after the car returned) andfurther, there are no strong evidences that we have caused the damageon the said car.
Please take note that pursuant to your Rental Agreement No.OWF39896 duly signed by the mutual parties, us and your good firm, withreference to the last term "All incident of Loss Damage must bereported within 24 hrs", yet you emailed us on 28/04/2011after claiming the failure of charging our credit card. We wish to put onrecord/remark pertaining to the above said, hence we shall not beheld any responsible herein by your goodselves and /or the consequencesarising due to the said delay.
Please take this matter seriously andgive us full explanation on each question as asked above or else we might takelegal actions against your company and do reply us as soon as possible, we areseeking legal advice from our lawyer.
Your company's action of the unfaithfulcharging will directly impact your company's reputation/goodwilland your actions(simply proceed with charging without having ourinformation / confirmation) are totally disappointing us on the trust we haveput in your company and effect our wonderful travel memories in yourcountry Australia to a bad night mare.

租车公司回复了,他们说可能他们的车在我们归还过后被他们的员工损坏了,所以不需要我们赔偿,因此向我们道歉!
所以说,以后还是找回有信誉的租车公司吧!。。。还好这次我们在归还车的时候,帮车的每个角度拍了很多照片(有日期和时间),要不然水洗难清!
