**護照Passport 不见了，怎麼辦？

不懂要在哪里开帖，但想到常出国的各位一定能帮到我。
最近有出国的需要但是我的passport不见了，但是也是过期了的。

请问我还需要去报警吗？
还是直接去immigration申请过一张新的就可以了？

因为我知道如果valid的passport不见了很麻烦的， 要报警然后新的passport至少要等5年等等的。。
那如果已经expire的呢？

passport 不见了是很严重的事。首先你要去报警，不能写你是疏忽的，这样国家不会重发给你，因为你不珍惜国家产物。

报警后拿那张报告去移民局申情新护照，会经历一个调查面试，看你有没有说谎。
如果顺利，你要等几个月（3到6个月），才能拿到新护照。
如果不顺利，你慢慢去追问，五年十年都有可能。

你去更新护照也要带旧的（过期的），不要以为过期了的就不重要。

我之前家里进贼，passport也被偷了。少过一个月就可以拿到了，刚好公司要我出国，准备好那些form加上公司那封信就更容易了。
以下是我写在blogged内的，不过懒的翻译华语，希望能帮到你！


What should you do when you lost your malaysia passport or being stolen?
1) Make a police report stating CLEARLY(give a 'better' reason if needed) how you lost your passport at the nearest police station. Then ask them if they can certified the police report or not(RM 2 per copy). If they say can then is great, they will give a stamp on the report, else they will ask you to go to one of the special branch (cawangan khas) to get a letter saying that the report is true, and then come back to them to do certification. The branch that i went was below:

2) Go to immigration department. Take the forms below:

     a) Borang permohonan pasport
     b) Borang soal selidik kehilangan pasport malaysia (Im .42c)

NOTE: You won’t able done everything’s in the same day, just get the necessary form and go back.


3) Fill in all the form carefully. The reason in form (b) on how you lost your passport should match your police report.


4) Bring the form (b) and police report to the nearest Seksyen Majistret or Pesuruhjaya Sumpah (commissioner of oath) to get a stamp. (RM30 for the stamp). The branch that I went was below:

No. 2-3 (2nd Floor), Jalan 10/116B, Kuchai Entrepreneur's Park, Off Jalan Kuchai Lama


5) Photo copy your police report for future references, because the original copy will be taken by the immigration department.


6) Completed entered the above 2 forms and now is time to get all the require documents. Eg: photo copy of birthcert (2 copies). My officer is not taking it, but to be in the safe side, no harm to prepare it.


7) Photo copy of IC (2 copies)


8) 2 passport photos (get be taken at immigration department, shirt with collar)

9) Employment letter (Original copy with company letter head & stamp)

NOTE: You can ask your company to prepare this letter for you that give the reason you are require to travel for the business trip in next month. This will help in getting the process faster.


10) Bring all the completed forms to immigration department again.

NOTE: The process is same like apply new/renew the passport.


11) Get the immigration letter (with the reference number) issue from the “kehilangan counter” and the application is completed, you now can going back and wait.


12) During the investigation period, probably after 2 weeks you try to calling up the respective department on checking the status by providing them your reference number (the duration as mention in the letter. eg: max 1 month)


13) Go to collect your passport when is ready.

  NOTE: Prepared the sufficient money

  30- Pages for RM300 & 60-Pages for RM600 for 5 years. Now you also can apply for the 2 years passport with RM100. (All this options is enter in the form a - Borang permohonan pasport)



LAST NOTE: Always make a photo copy of your passport or at least noted down your passport number. If you have this, it will save you some trouble to fill in the forms.

刚出国回来的同事说，他晚上的飞机，早上才发现passport不见了，去报警，然后去imigration，3个小时搞定，他说在Bangi一带做的。
