Q&M Dental to raise S$17.9m in IPO

SINGAPORE: Private dental healthcare group, Q & M Dental Group, plans to raise net proceeds of S$17.9 million in an initial public offering (IPO).

Q & M plans to list on the Singapore Exchange Mainboard and it is offering 74 million new shares at 27 Singapore cents each.

Established in 1996 by founder and CEO Dr Ng Chin Siau, Q & M has grown rapidly over the past 12 years to become one of the largest private dental healthcare service providers in Singapore.

It now has 36 dental clinics island-wide and a market share of around 5.7 per cent.

Q & M plans to use the net proceeds to fund the setting up of a dental centre in Singapore, as well as fund new dental clinics, acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic alliances when opportunities arise. The balance will be used for general working capital purposes.

The company registered a profit before tax of S$2.1 million for the six months ended June, up 7 per cent from a year ago.

The IPO opens on Tuesday and will close on November 24.

Trading of the shares is expected to start on November 26. Collins Stewart is the manager and the placement agent for the IPO.

全民牙医将从首次售股行动中集资2,000万元
本地牙医保健集团全民牙医(Q&M Dental Group)首次公开售股(IPO)，计划在新交所主板上市。公司希望从献售的7,400万股新股(每股0.27元)中，集资约1,800万元，配售股占了公司扩大股本的27%。

从招股集资收益中，200万元将用来在新加坡成立一个牙医中心，余下的1,590万元将用来收购新的牙医诊所及为潜在收购、合资及策略性联盟融资，以至作为一般营运资金。公司也计划向中国扩张，并为当地高端市场成立独资或合资子公司。尽管公司的FY08收入跳升11.9%至2,960万元，净利年比下跌7.8%至370万元，主要因为蒙配股开支。

这种股票有上升空间的，因为新加坡看医生好贵，特别是这些来自raffles 的，又不是特别好。上次看牙医，有颗牙掉了，打算去补，预约了时间，进去说牙烂了不能补一定要套牙，我问多少钱。短短的5分钟，我吓到跑出来。套一粒收我SG 1160 , 我听了直接傻去，整个月薪水就花在这一粒牙齿。

结果我拒绝，医生还说，那就见不要套，跟你先补，收你60块，不过最多只耐三个月。我又拒绝的跑出来，给consultation fees , 收我SG44.50 大元，什么都没做，跟你聊两句，50块就这样飞了。

幸亏公司的牙医津贴帮我贴了。能不赚钱吗？ 基本上公司的医药福利都是跟raffles 联系的，真是给他们赚到笑。

全民牙医全面收购　香港牙医公司DISC

　　我国全民牙医（Q & M Dental Group）宣布以5332万港币（959万新元），全面收购香港Dental Implant Surgical Centre有限公司（DISC）。

　　全民牙医表示，将支付3000万港元（539万新元）现金，以及发出价值2332万港元（419万新元）的新股，来完成这项交易。它将发出给卖方的新股达806万股（占现有股本的2.94％），每股发行价0.52元，比市价是折扣了约10％。现金部分将动用去年11月间私下售股筹得的资金来支付。

　　全民牙医发布消息时指出，DISC业务成熟而且有盈利，拥有先进设备，去年在香港进行了2500个种牙手术，占所进行的工作的60％。

　　董事会相信DISC在香港口腔与上颌外科（Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery）拥有40％至50％的市占率。DISC的净有形资产是2209万港币（397万新元），它在2008年1月至12月的扣税前盈利为583 万港币（104万新元），2009财年是3月底截止。据收购合约，卖方保证DISC在截至2010年12月底的12个月，以及之后的7年，每年将取得不少过583万港币的扣税前盈利。
