Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP)

Hi! Because of this I registered myself to reply your post.  I know it is an old post anyway just would like to share with you guys.

I'm a ITP patient since 2003.   

I took Prednisolone for about 2 yrs+ and also Azathioprine.  Of course the Vitamin C and Folic Acid. Of course before any treatment taken I had Bone Marrow test.   

I first got to know I got low platelet counts was because I had a small cut on my finger and it kept bleeding for 3 days. I went to the panel clinic and was referred to lab for blood test, platelets was 17. I admitted to the hospital the next day, the result was 14.  It was on Sunday, doctor just being kind asked me to stay on the bed for a night, will only do the bone marrow test the next day to avoid double charge.  The result just before bone marrow test was only 5.   So I have platelets transfusion immediately on Monday night.

Well, these few years my platelet count keep up and down.  Got one time my platelets shoot up quite high.  Just share, can try on bird's nest. It help!  Bird's nest is not only help for complexion, which everyone mistaken that.  Actually bird's nest has a lot of nutrition and the important thing is... it help 健脾. ITP is because of spleen can't functioning well.  So, it could be the reason why bird's nest help.  Anyway bird's nest is a good supplement, it is not a medicine, so no harm trying right?!
