Entry Requirements

Entry requirements vary depending on the course you wish to apply for. In order to be considered for admission to a programme of study, you would need to satisfy the minimum entry requirements and other conditions of entry for the particular programme you are applying.

You should note that meeting the minimum entry requirements will not automatically qualify you for a place. Successful selection for admission to any programme shall be at the sole discretion of the University.

The University offers prospective students three ways of entry into its programmes:
Entry with Standard Qualifications

UTAR welcomes applicants with any of the following qualifications:

   1.

      Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM)
   2.

      Unified Examination Certificate (UEC)
   3.

      A-Levels
   4.

      South Australian Matriculation (SAM)
   5.

      Canadian Pre-University (CPU)

Further details on the specific minimum entry requirements for particular programmes can be found in UTAR Website.
Entry with Other Qualifications

Applicants with qualifications other than those described above, for example, a Diploma from a college/institution/polytechnic may also apply for admission into UTAR programmes.

Credit Transfer/Advanced Standing
Such applications will be considered on a case-to-case basis and successful applicants may be given entry with credit transfer.

All applications for credit transfer must be made together with the application for admission. Certified copies of the official transcripts, course structure, syllabi, samples of past examination papers and all other relevant information and materials related to the previous studies must be enclosed with the application. Applications submitted without the above documents will be processed for normal admission without any consideration for credit transfer.
Entry with SPM/SPMV Qualification

Students with Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)/Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia Vokasional (SPMV) qualification are also encouraged to apply for entry to the one-year UTAR Foundation programmes. Upon successful completion of the Foundation programmes, students are eligible to pursue Year 1 of the corresponding UTAR Honours Degree programmes.

English Language Requirements

You need to be proficient in the English language, which is the medium of instruction and examination at the University. Most programmes would normally require a credit/relevant score in English Language in one of the following examinations:

   1.

      SPM/ SPMV English Language
   2.

      International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
   3.

      Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL)
   4.

      English 1119 / O-Level
   5.

      Malaysian University English Test (MUET)

About Foundation Programmes

The UTAR Foundation programmes are 1-year courses that prepare students with SPM qualification or equivalent to enter into the UTAR Honours Degree programmes.

The programmes provide students with a comprehensive selection of core subjects that enhance their academic knowledge in the respective areas of study and at the same time, develop their understanding and appreciation of other basic subjects.

Besides studying the core subjects such as Accounting, Computer Studies or the Sciences, students are also exposed to subjects such as Management Studies, Web Page Design, English Language as well as Public Speaking and Communication.

Students are channelled to either the Foundation in Arts or Foundation in Science depending on their choice of study for the UTAR Honours Degree programme.
Foundation in Arts (KP/JPS(KA5263)7/09) (KP/JPS(KA8661)/11/12)
Minimum Entry Requirements

   1.

      SPM with 5 credits
   2.

      STPM with 1 Principal Pass and SPM or O-Level with 3 credits
   3.

      A-Level with 1 Principal Pass and SPM or O-Level with 3 credits
   4.

      South Australian Matriculation (SAM) with Grade C in 2 subjects and SPM or O-Level with 3 credits
   5.

      Canadian Pre-University (CPU) with an average of 60% in 2 subjects and SPM or O-Level with 3 credits
   6.

      Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with an average of Grade B in 3 subjects
   7.

      O-Level with 5 credits (required to pursue Bahasa Kebangsaan A or B at Foundation level)
   8.

      Other equivalent qualification recognised by the Malaysian Government

用外国的express比较好。

若你没用外国的express, 我建议你再次用外国的express寄 "齐全“ 的文件，
记得~！ 通通都要verfication啊~

你想读的degree course是什么？
我想帮你看看，
可能你的degree course将在PJ or Setapak or Sg Long读。
因为diploma可以直接进second year degree,
所以现在的所有的degree course在kampar只有year 1 sem 1的student 在那边开辟。

So, second year degree 将在PJ or Setapak or Sg Long读。

其实我也想再寄多一次
只不过我第一次寄的BANK DRAFT就浪费了

我已经寄过一次, 用POS LAJU的
他们有收到, 只不过我的COPY OF CERTIFICATE没有CERTIFIED
SO我再寄多一次, 里面就只有那些CERTIFIED COPY而已,
那些BANK DRAFT和信封都没有放进去, 然后在一张白纸写我的资料
但是第二次我只是用普通的方式寄过去而已

现在我是怕他们没有收到我第二次的信
怕我的邮票钱不够,怕他们看不到我的那张白纸, 所以不知道是什么文件来的, 还有很多很多我都怀疑

你说得对，
你的course 是在Kampar读的。

这个May intake 特定的degree courses 在Kampar  都是第一批学生 进来读 year 1 sem 1.

目前，没有任何 year 1 sem 2 , year 2 sem 1, year 2 sem 2, year 3 sem 1, 和 year 3 sem2 的学生在Kampar读。

就是说，你的这个course还没有人在Kampar 读Year 2 sem 1。

所有 读 year 1 sem 2 , year 2 sem 1, year 2 sem 2, year 3 sem 1, 和 year 3 sem2 的学生，现在全都各自在 PJ, Setapak, Sg. Long 上着课。

我也不晓得，他们会不会 ‘特别‘ 开班给你读在kampar  year 2 sem 1.
应该不会吧？因为这样会浪费资源。。。

你有很大的机会会在Setapak读，因为那里将有year 2 sem 1的学生在May 上课。

关于你的application,
在跟进。

我也不能保证能尽快得到那里的消息。

Actuarial Science 在UTAR是读到你毕业为止， 不必出国。
leading of acturial science的意思是当你foundation毕业后，就往Actuarial Science degree course 读。
