Further to our announcement dated 7 September 2018 on the proposed disposal of a piece of land held under H.S.(D) 75345, PT 6055, in Mukim of Labu, District of Seremban, Negeri Sembilan (hereinafter referred to as the said “Property”), we wish to clarify that CCMB is expected to have a gain of RM1.1 million (after taking into account Real Property Gain Tax) from the disposal of the said Property. In addition, the gearing ratio of CCMB is expected to reduce from 1.67 times as at 31 December 2017 to 1.58 times by 31 December 2018 as the proceeds from the Proposed Disposal will be used to pare down the Company’s borrowing. （吉隆坡15日讯）扩建工程按预期进度进行以及氢氧化钠价格急速回升，马化工（CCM，2879，主板工业股）前景备受看好，分析员喊买。

丰隆投行分析员在与马化工管理层会面后， 乐观看待马化工的营运前景。马化工的主要业务是生產氢氧化钠（CausticSoda）、氯和聚合物。

分析员指出，氢氧化钠价格自7月份起回扬，从每公吨391美元上涨19%至23%，至每公吨466美元至480美元。

同时，他表示，迈入10月份后，中国进入冬季，管理层预计氢氧化钠產量將放缓，令市场供应减少。马化工可从中获利。

加上，墨西哥海湾及日本的天气非常恶劣，导致氢氧化钠的生產中断，这对东南亚的氢氧化钠价格有利。而北亚的颱风同样推高了氢氧化钠价格。

此外，分析员称，位于雪州万宜的聚合物工厂正按期进行產能扩充计划，预计末季的產能將提高10%至15%。

分析员指出，巴西古当第1阶段项目现在已完成30%，下一步將进行拆除工作，並在2019年首季接收相关装备和第2季运作。

受邀竞標供应合约

另一方面，马化工近期受邀竞標，边佳兰炼油及石化综合发展计划（RAPID）初步试跑中的少量氢氧化钠供应的合约。

管理层对此表示，鑑於该计划预计在2019上半年开始运作，他们希望尽快接获正式招標邀请书，並且有信心中標。

因为马化工的工厂（巴西古当）与该计划的地区相邻，而主要竞爭对手的工厂则远在怡保及甘马挽。

展望2018下半年，分析员预计马化工的营业额及盈利表现將反映氢氧化钠的价格走势。

不过，氢氧化钠的平均售价为每公吨437美元，仍比去年第3季的每公吨518美元来得低。

因此，分析员谨慎看待马化工2018下半年的盈利表现，而上半年的核心净利已超过全年预测的60%。

Reference is made to the Company’s announcement dated 25 September 2014 (Ref: CC-140923-53896) in relation to PTCCMI appeal to the Tax Court of Indonesia ("Announcement"). Unless otherwise stated, all abbreviations and definitions used herein shall have the same meanings as those used in the Announcement. The Board of Directors of CCMB wishes to announce that PTCCMI had, on 13 December 2018, received the official notification on the judgement in favour of PTCCMI’s appeals to the Tax Court of Indonesia. These successful appeals relate to several tax adjustments/ corrections made by the tax auditor amounting to IDR34.06 billion (equivalent to approximately RM9.78 million) representing 99.25% of the total appealed amount of IDR34.31 billion (equivalent to approximately RM9.85 million). The verdict letters in relation to the appeals to the Tax Court of Indonesia are available for inspections at the registered office of CCMB at 13th Floor, Menara PNB, 201-A, Jalan Tun Razak, 50400 Kuala Lumpur during normal business hours from Mondays to Fridays (except public holidays) for a period of three (3) months from the date of this announcement. The Board of Directors of Chemical Company of Malaysia Berhad (hereinafter referred to as “CCMB” or “the Company”) wishes to announce that CCM Chemicals Sdn Bhd (hereinafter referred to as “CCMC”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company had, on 29 November 2019 awarded a contract to Sime Darby Energy Solutions Sdn Bhd (“SDES”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sime Darby Berhad ("SDB") to engineer, procure, construct and commission one unit of Co-generation (“COGEN”) plant (collectively referred to as “COGEN project”) at a contract price of RM27.9 million (Ringgit Malaysia : Twenty Seven Million and Nine Hundred Thousand) at CCMC’s Pasir Gudang chlor alkali plant in Johor (hereinafter referred to as “Pasir Gudang Works” or “PGW”).
