Manchester United: Van Gaal hints at 'surprise' striker signing

Louis van Gaal has hinted he could add a 'surprise' name to his Manchester United forward line before the transfer deadline.

The United manager watched his side win their first pre-season game against Club America in Seattle thanks to a debut goal from Morgan Schneiderlin.

He used another new signing, Memphis Depay, in a central role behind striker Wayne Rooney in the first-half with the only other recognised forward in the squad, James Wilson, replacing the England captain at half-time.

Asked afterwards whether he was 'worried' about the number of strikers he has at his disposal after the departures of Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao, the Dutchman replied 'no'.

And he suggested he could still add another front man to his squad before the transfer window shuts next month.

He said: "We have Rooney, he can play in strikers’ position, and all media had written he should play there so I listen and now you put this question so don’t know what you want.

"Also Chicharito and maybe Wilson and maybe there comes a surprise. It’s a process. I’m not worried about that position."

Javier Hernandez spent last season on loan at Real Madrid after Van Gaal decided the Mexican striker was not part of his plans.

But he confirmed the 27-year-old, who will join up with squad on July 25, will be given the chance to fill the void left by Van Persie and Falcao.

Van Gaal added: "Hernandez is comng on July 25.

"He can prove himself and now Falcao and Van Persie are gone so his chances are better now."

最喜欢这种实而不华的球员，而且他是在传控的体系出身，应该很快融入+2的philosophy。rf

Young 已经升le 成 “忠仆” 级，为何要郁他？

Young 是踢11号位，Pedro 是踢7号位。
7号位的 senior player 有 Mata 和 ADM。 。

Kiko Casilla: Real Madrid sign goalkeeper from Espanyol

Real Madrid have re-signed Espanyol goalkeeper Kiko Casilla for ￡4.2m.
Real had retained 50% ownership of the 28-year-old when he left them for Espanyol in 2007.
Casilla, who has signed a five-year contract, will provide competition for Keylor Navas and Fernando Pacheco.
Real, who sold club legend Iker Casillas, 34, to Porto this month, have been linked with a move for Manchester United keeper David De Gea, 24.
