Having successfully met the target of 25% population coverage in Peninsula,
Malaysia’s No. 1 WiMAX telco gets the green light to also roll out in East Malaysia.
KUALA LUMPUR – Packet One Networks (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (“P1”),
Malaysia’s first and leading WiMAX telco, announced today that it
has received the necessary approvals to also roll out its P1 W1MAX
service in East Malaysia.
“The deployment of WiMAX broadband is crucial in achieving the
national household broadband penetration target of 50% by 2010.
WiMAX operators play an important role in meeting this objective and
must work towards meeting or exceeding the targets committed”,
said Michael Lai, Chief Executive Officer, P1.
In the spirit of 1Malaysia and P1’s mission to get as many Malaysians
as possible to join the WiMAX Revolution, the P1W1MAX roll out will
begin simultaneously in Sabah and Sarawak in Q1 2010. East
Malaysians in the cities such as Kuching, Miri, Bintulu, Kota
Kinabalu, Sandakan and Tawau will be able to enjoy the freedom of
P1W1MAX broadband as early as in Q2 2010.
“East Malaysia is a market of tremendous importance to P1. We’re
truly excited and feeling very gung ho about empowering the people
of both Sabah and Sarawak with WiMAX soon,” said Lai.
P1 W1MAX is primed to meet the tremendous demand for broadband

of only 13.6% in Sarawak and 9.5% in Sabah at the end of 2008 are
still very low compared to the national average. We are looking
forward to meeting a massive demand for quality broadband in both

Designed for rapid, wide area deployment, P1 W1MAX can cost
effectively deliver broadband access to more areas faster compared
to current broadband technologies, especially in remote and
underserved areas within geographically diverse locations like
Sabah and Sarawak.

如果 P1 W1MAX 進到東馬，Green Packet Berhad 公司肯定被另兩家公司告它和政府，P1 W1MAX 大至上是被人叫來頂替東馬有一家電訊公司，這家公司本身應該收費的，但是由於技術問題而導致它不能收費，那麼這下子，所以的費用也都會提高，所以肯定 P1 W1MAX 會收購還是合併這家電訊公司。

所以肯定不會如此順利的進行在東馬運作P1 W1MAX 。

（吉隆坡）綠馳通訊科技（GPACKET,0082,主板科技組）旗下的PACKETONE（P1）公司宣佈，已獲得有關當局批准，以在東馬推出P1WIMAX服務。

這間公司首席執行員賴敬達在文告指出，推展WIMAX寬頻服務，對2010年全國家庭寬頻滲透率達50%目標極為重要。

他表示，這間公司將在2010年首季開始陸續在沙巴與砂拉越推出P1WIMAX服務。

東馬城市諸如古晉、美里、民都魯、哥打京那峇魯、山打根及斗湖等，可在2010年第二季即可享有P1WIMAX寬頻服務。

截至2008年杪，砂州家庭寬頻滲透率僅達13.6%，而沙巴則為9.5%。

不要太過相信新聞，早期WIMAX 一共有四張，二張在西馬，另兩張在東馬，如果變成了東馬和西馬也能共用，這麼一來，政府早期的合約就不該講明分開來運作。

因為一但如此做法，變成了對另外兩家WIMAX公司來講是不公平的，所以不能如此做法。
綠馳通訊旗下P1，應該是東馬的有一家公司，因為它被政府阻止它收費，理由綱路技術和種種原因，倒置無法收費，所以綠馳通訊旗下P1應該會和它合併還是收購，因為東馬這家電訊已經投入很多資金，卻無法得到政府認可，變成了資本收不回，停止又要虧大錢，而這家公司當然是和○○有關係，所以才會出此下測。
所以另兩家肯定會加以阻止綠馳通訊旗下P1進入東馬來運作。

如此做法就變成了早期所講的運作變成了欺騙案了。

那到底Gpacket 能收钱吗？？ 其实3G已经在全国打到不成样子了，马来西亚市场会这么快，这么大吗？

所以Gpacket大股東負責人本身要去注意，投標時合約已經講明了很清楚，四張分開成兩個部份進行運作，如果Gpacket強打東馬這地區，我相信，另兩家會等到Gpacket進來運作的時後才來告他們，所以Gpacket的負責人不要認為有那○○人物就可以亂來，分分鐘吃官司也說不定。

因為期限還沒有到，所以政府電訊部門不能亂來，講可以過來東馬做。

除非有政府通訊部門告示，講明不分地區了，這樣才能夠安全的來東馬做，否則○○人物講過的話，他可以講不知情，我沒答應過，那麼Gpacket就吃白果了。

所以小股東可以寫信過去，講明問題的嚴重，否則打官司，肯定會很慘了。

很多人上 streamyx 已經不song了，P1 過來，肯定大有作為，如果能得到政府通訊部門告示，肯定會比其它電訊公司更上一層。

否則DIGI早就不買3G了，因為3G 東西馬可以運作。

Green Packet Bhd’s Packet One Networks (Malaysia) SB (P1) is upping the ante among the four WiMAX
players, having obtained approval to expand its services into East Malaysia – where only REDtone International
Bhd has been operating. It is learnt that P1 received the go-ahead from the Malaysian Communications and
Multimedia Commission (MCMC) last week, having fulfilled its obligation to cover at least 25% of the population
