不好意思，想请问一下，如果驾车去新加坡IKEA买东西进JB，会中tax吗?
想买一张armchair和橱具

我刚刚在 KL Ikea 的网站上查它的库存, 我放 5, 10 及 20 件, 该网站显示有现货.

这个价格 (RM 59) 是真的很便宜.  新加坡的 Ikea 卖 S$75.

Recently I have been bringing in bulky Ikea products in private car through the Woodland checkpoint to JB.  Yet I am still confused as to whether I need to pay tax.  My experience is listed below.


1.  I first brought 2 large pieces of tampered glass table top in full packaging through the green lane (of JB custom).  I was stopped by the custom officer and asked to pay 30% tax (but the actual amount charged to me was only 20%).  The custom officer was very friendly in advising me to go through the red lane in the future, otherwise they (the green lane officers) have the right to impose compound fine on me.


2.  The second time I brought a set of wooden table and 4 stools in full packaging through the red lane.  The custom officer wanted me to show him the content.  As I didn't have the tool to open the package, I torn a corner of the packaging to show him the content.  He was satified and let me through.


3.  The third time I brought 2 large pieces of wooden table top, Poang footstool (assembled but without the footpad) and many misc items through the red lane.  These items were without packaging as they were bought from the As-Is section of Ikea.  The custom officer was curious as to whether the table tops are new and where the table legs are.  I replied that the table tops were old and the legs were already in JB.  He let me through.


4.  The fourth time I wanted to bring in an oak kitchen table top in full packaging. As it was difficult to man-handle the item at the custom and since I did not want to tear the packaging, I chose to go through the green lane on Friday, between 1 pm to 2 pm.  There was no custom officer on duty.


Hope my reply will not add more confusion to the already very confused situation.

所以总结是by right需要付20% tax，可是after all还是看luck咯~

The troublesome thing is the unloading (if asked for) of package from car and opening it up for inspection.  But we can't put the blame on the custom officer.  It is their duty to check.

新加坡 亚历山大 Ikea 现在有 EOL (end-of-life) sale on Lillangen wash-basin cabinet.

一门式是 S$23 (有十多套). 双门式是 S$47 (有五六套).

这些都不是 display set.  They are in fully sealed packaging.

但是 leg frame（包括脚）没有 sale.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

忘了说 the sale 是在 As-Is section.

还有, 忘了说 the sale 好像只限于 white-aluminum colour.

更忘了说, Lillangen wash-basin cabinet 有几个 models.  On sale 的是下面这个 (跑路吉蒂 所提到的).







需要安装 leg frame, 然后让洗手盆坐在上面.

网站找不到这个产品, 因为该产品已经 EOL 了 (the webpage was taken down on the night I made my reply to you). 这也意味着 KL Ikea 也将有 EOL sale.

As-Is staff 告诉我白色的也会 on EOL sale. 现在他们只是放 display set on sale. For display set, 一门式 (40 cm) @ S$23, 双门式 (60 cm) @ S$23 和 双门式 (80 cm) @ S$30. 我觉得白色的比 white-aluminum 漂亮多. 如果 hinge 的位置适合, 那个 80 cm 的门还可用于 Billy book shelf.

The cabinet comes with a pair of wall mounting bracket. 不过如果你想要让洗手盆坐在上面, 最好是装 leg frame.

如果你想用它作为浴室柜, 你可能要注意以下的 limitations:

1.  It has no top enclosing cover.
2.  The shelf is not of full depth.
3.  The bottom enclosing cover is not of full depth.

(1) and (2) can be solved by using the shelf from the kitchen wall cabinet (available for purchase).  But there will likely be a 1mm to 2mm gap because the frame of this wash basin cabinet is slightly thinner than the frame of kitchen wall cabinet.

(3) 比较难找到一个好的解决办法.

明白了，如果是洗脸盆绑墙就不用脚了吧。我只是担心那质地应该不能耐潮湿的，但这价钱真的很吸引人买了就一定要买到适合的盆，真是头疼...

如果你走红色通道, by right 需要付30％的税.  如果运气好, custom officer 不征税.

如果你走绿色通道但被抓, 你可能需要付30％的税或罚款. For 罚款, 我不知道罚款数额和对以后重犯的影响.

(For tax, the custom officer does not keep a record of your car number and personal particulars.  For compund fine, it means you admit to the offence and agree to settle it out of Court.  So it is expected that the custom officer will keep a record of your car number and personal particulars.)

不管怎样, 就是不要被罚款.

你的怀疑是正确的. 该产品是防水汽, 而不是防水.  不过如果你有用浴帘, 影响并不是很大.

西方人的浴室是和我们的不同.  Ikea 来自北欧瑞典, 那里的冬天很冷. 很多家庭的浴室地板是由木材做成的或用地毯覆盖. 他们洗澡时也不会弄湿整间浴室. 所以他们的浴室柜只需要防水汽.
