KAT好像唱得还OKAY
可是没有比之前那首出色
TAYLOR就非常出色
SIMON还说了一句

Ryan: Katharine McPhee and Taylor Hicks. The most important night of
their lives. The most coveted title in Television. In front of you
at home and these guys here.

Crowd: Squeee!

Ryan: This is American Idol.

Ryan: Live from the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood! It’s the night we’ve
been building toward since January. Over 3,000 very excited people
here …

Crowd: IEEE!

Ryan: Two very nervous people back there (Kat/Taylor) and three smug
judges here.

Obligatory Ryan/Judge banter omitted.

Ryan: Tonight, 3 phone numbers each, and 4 hours to vote.

Video intro of the two finalists, with a retrospective of how they
got here.

Ryan: Last week Taylor won the coin flip and will go second.
Katharine will start it off, after the break!


First Performance


Katharine McPhee (Black Horse and Cherry Tree by K T Tunstall)

Randy: Aiight so, check it out. You finally look like you were
having fun with that song, jiving with the guys. I dunno if it was
like super exciting, but you sang it better than the first time you
did it.
Paula: A fun way to open up, and celebrate why you were here
tonight. There’s more and better of you to come.
Simon: Kat. I’ll give a good with a small “g”.
Audience: NO!
Simon: I’ll tell you why. The occasion tonight is bigger than that
song. That’s what I call a warmup.


Taylor Hicks (Living For The City by Stevie Wonder)

Paula: WOW!
Taylor waves.
Randy: So check it out, right? You know what I love about you, dude?
I was worred, picking Stevie. You don’t care who sings it, you
always make it your own. AMERICA! That’s a HOT ONE RIGHT THERE!
Paula: We match (color wise?) tonight! And everybody got that dance
down! Way to go!
Simon: It’s interesting. The audience hated you.
All: Ha!
Simon: Smart choice of song. Arguably the worst jacket I’ve ever
seen in my life, but what do I know? Let me tell you: Round 1 to
you.


Second Performance


Katharine McPhee (Somewhere Over The Rainbow by Judy Garland)

Predictably, Dad cries.
Randy: For me, check it out. For me, when I saw you were doing the
same song again, I was like it’s anticlimactic. But you worked it
out again. It was hot. You worked it out, baby.
Paula: No mistake. It’s God-given talent, that you have, that every
father is feeling tears down his face as your father has. You’ve
made every father proud and every little girl proud …
Simon: Round one, you got slaughtered. Now, you’ve come back, and I
said it last week, but I truly believe this was your best
performance of the competition so far. You’re back in the game.
Kat: I started in the right key! Yay! My ear monitor didn’t work!


Taylor Hicks (Levon by Elton John)

Randy: So check it baby. Uh, nice song, nice song, to be honest
though, to keep it real, it was a little pitchy for me.
Audience: BOO!
Randy: It was.
Paula: What may be pitchy to you is the essence of who Taylor is.
Randy: It wasn’t as good. This was just okay.
Simon: DOesn’t make any sense, Paula, what you just said.
Paula: When do you make sense?
Simon: You walked the first round. Katharine has taken the second
round.
Ryan: So you’d say it’s a tie ballgame?
Simon: Absolutely.
Ryan: Tee it up for the next round!


Third Performance


Katharine McPhee (Original single: My Destiny)

Singus interruptus video: Kat’s parents tell about how she was,
growing up, and summat. Kat says she did scales all day long.

Randy: Aw! So! Check it out. I got 3 things for you. Keeping it
really real. You look amazing. You sounded really good. I did not
love the song.
Kat: Oh! Okay.
Paula: That is not your fault. You are brilliant.
Randy: Song’s just average. You sounded great.
Simon: In my opinion you went from brilliant to quite good in one
song. You are a great potential artist and I’m delighted you’re in
this final. I would say to everyone who wants to vote for Kat,
remember the second song.


Taylor Hicks (Original single: Do I Make You Proud)

Video: Taylor’s Dad and Taylor talk about his harmonica.

Taylor: Soul Patrol! Soul Patrol!
Audience: SQUEE!
Randy: Check it out. Based on the song, this is a slightly better
song. You know what I love about you? You know who Taylor Hicks is,
and you make it work. Yeah!
Paula: I’ll tell you what. You were better than the song. You know
who you are as an artist. All the riffs, exist in that song because
Taylor Hicks knows who …
Simon: Assuming I was right and the show was tied, you have just won
American Idol.

katherine真的是输定了，虽然somewhere over the rainbow是当晚的表演。
其实我觉得是她自己没有把握机会，刚好taylor今晚也不是很好。

kat- black horse and cherry tree - 都不懂她选这首歌来做么。当人家kodak剧
场是pub咩？ 如果是我宁愿选someone to watch over me.

taylor - 不知道什么歌。 不喜欢他的紫外套。看起来比他老爸还老。起码好过kat.
round 2

kat- somehwere over the rainbow - 她的必刹武器。没有上礼拜好，我觉得是观众的欢呼声破坏了整首歌的意境。我一边看一边想叫他们"STHU!"

taylor - levon -  比起原版真的差很多。整体上还ok。

round3

Kat- my destiny? - hello?这种烂歌他们也写得出。American idol真的没希望了。这种歌基本上就是偶像派的歌，要人家怎么去发挥？ chorus很弱很低，而且还用falsetto, wtf????? 好心制作人花多点钱请一个像样的人来写啦。 katherine很冤枉下，给人家玩到这样。taylor的歌反而比较好，可以发挥的地方很多。
不是应该唱同一首歌才公平的吗？

taylor -比kat好的歌。跟以往的比，感觉上只是ok而已。后面那个big note好像老牛硬硬好上树， off的很明显。

idol 歌越做越懒了。 还是最喜欢 ai3的 i believe.那首歌简直是经典。

最后还有 daniel powter的 bad day 呢 。 哈哈还真适合形容当晚的情况。人家来宾居然唱得比主角们好n倍。


最后想一炮轰给的人是paula。好心她看下自己岁料啦，有时间在这里做show不如在家补补下形象。什么 “taylor u and i match tonight " 呕~~~~~~~~~人家 taylor唱不好她也讲好。走调也讲是他的风格。迟点人家放的屁也是香。

总结 ：最烂的总决赛！  5/10
