PPB Group
Upgrade of target price (Buy; RM11.00; PEP MK; TP
RM13.50)
We revise Wilmar’s FY08F, FY09F and FY10F net profits by –
0.7%, +8.2% and +11.8%, respectively, due to our recent
CPO price upgrades and stronger US$. Our DCF-derived
target price (WACC 8.3%, terminal growth rate 3%) on
Wilmar is now upgraded to S$5.85 (from S$5.65
previously), based on US$4.13/share and S$1.42 exchange
rate (compared to previous forecast of US$4.11 and S$1.37 exchange rate).
In line with the upgrade in Wilmar’s net profit and target
price, we upgrade our PPB’s target price to RM13.50 (from
RM12.90 previously). Our SOP valuation for PPB assumes
Wilmar’s fair value at S$4.70 per share, at 20% holding
company discount to Wilmar’s target price of S$5.85 per
share.
We believe that PPB Group’s share price has yet to reflect its
strong fundamentals with upside from Wilmar and growth
from its sugar and flour divisions. The group’s financials
remain strong with net cash of RM0.62 per share as at 1Q08.
Maintain Buy.
