Park Bom’s “You and I” is a HIT!
After 2NE1 member, Park Bom's release of her solo single You And I, she's already hit number one on the charts and gained major success in less than a day. On the 28th, Park Bom's single hit #1 on Bugs, #3 on Doshirak and Mnet.com and #6 on Melon.
This instant success has surprised many because she beat out most of the new debut groups and comeback artists. But is it really all that surprising? Her girl group 2NE1 is one of the biggest success stories this year, with hit songs like Fire and I Don't Care, their mini-album did extremely well.
So far there seems to be nothing but positive feedback from netizens: "The color of her voice sounds foreign, which is a hard to find voice in Korea." and "I think the song is in perfect harmony with Park Bom's vocals."
Not just the song itself but the music video, which was led by Park Bom herself, is also in perfect harmony with her image and the music. She even donned a very beautiful wedding dress and showed a very mature and elegant side of her that made heads turn.
You And I is planned to be bundled into the upcoming full 2NE1 album.

Lady Collection’s Jieun is Sandara Park’s mentor?
New rookie group Lady Collection's leader Jieun (JC), revealed in a recent interview that she's close with 2NE1's Sandara Park and was once her mentor!
Jieun, who had been training under YG Entertainment from 2003-2007 and was part of their label until this January, had grown close with fellow trainee, Sandara Park.
Jieun said, "Because of the age difference I wasn't really her friend but more of an older sister as I cheered her on. But now it's the other way around as she cheers me on. And because I used to give her vocal lessons, it feels more special."
She also spoke about her former fellow trainee's recent success, "She's doing better than I thought she would and that makes me proud. Sandara Park is really determined and her long practice period really paid off with her face acting/expressions improving too. And of course she's become even more beautiful and healthy."

PARK BOM'S "YOU AND I" STAYING STRONG ON THE CHARTS!
2NE1's lead vocalist Park Bom, recently released her first solo single and MV of You and I, entering the music industry by herself.
The song was a hit, as it ranked first throughout music portal sites such as Melon, Dosirak, Bugs and Cyworld.
What's more impressing is that she is competing against idol groups (BEAST/B2ST, MBLAQ, SHINee, SS501) and veteran singers (Ivy, Baek Ji Young, HwanHee, Kim Tae Woo) yet she herself, without the help of her 2NE1 members, have been able to dominate amongst them.
Netizens are very interested not because she is a 2NE1 member, but her song itself. You and I has a comfortable and lovely melody, as well as having a fresh atmosphere of hip-hop sang by a female - something you don't quite often hear these days. But even with all this, the most important thing is that the song fits Park Bom really well, as it maximizes her skills and reveals it well.
2NE1 have proved to be worthy of taking the title "rookie of the year" as they have numerous hit-songs already, listing Fire, I Don't Care, Sandara's Kiss, and now Park Bom's You and I.
2NE1 is currently preparing to hit back the music industry as a group, with their new album.

‘Invincible Youth”, Why is 2ne1 not here?
Seven girls coming from SNSD, KARA, 4minute, brown eyed girls, Tiara and Secret came to “Invincible Youth” trying to show how they can live by themselves on a countryside called “Cheong-chu-bul-pae” which means “the young never loses.” “Cheong-chu-bul-pae” began on the 23th on KBS2TV making a program rating of 9.8%. It was on 1st place at that broadcasting time verifying that girls are popular indeed.
But, one odd question remained. If this is a girl group gathering, where is 2NE1?
For those who dont know 2ne1 (im sure everyone knows), members of this girl group are CL, Minzi, Sandara and Bom who became really popular with debut album “Fire”.
Regarding this, an official from YG Entertainment said “There was no contact from ‘Invincible Youth’ at all. And even if they contacted us, 2Ne1 is now really busy working on their new album anyway.” He added that people are aware of the fact Singers from YG Entertainment are mostly focusing on their singing career not on appearing some variety shows.
Actually, Bigbang, 2ne1, Gummy, Jinusean, Se7en, Perry, Moogadang, YMGA etc are not on variety shows often except for Daesung who is doing “Famaily outing” as a fix contract. One PD from KBS mentioned that singers from YG have lots of confidence in singing and performing and they dont want their image ruined by doing some variety shows.
So there has been subtle troubles between broadcasting company and YG Entertainment. Particularly, last September after G-dragon has freely changed his schedule on a tv show of KBS which resulted to KBS boycotting YG singers.
YG said “we have our own rules which is “once a week” when it comes to doing variety show , it is not like we ignore and refuse.”

Park Bom may be performing ‘You & I’?
2NE1 Park Bom’s solo single release recently has been sweeping up the #1 positions on various music charts.
The song ‘You And I’ were revealed on 28th October, the first solo hit for Park Bom after her debut. After the song reveal, the responses by music fans are overwhelming. By 31st October, the song is already up #1 on Cyworld, Bugs, Mnet, Soribada, Dosirak and Melon charts.
With that, a YG Entertainment representative revealed, “Initially we have no plans for Park Bom to go on any music shows to promote the song. But with fans’ heated interests for it, we are currently discussing if she will perform the song on broadcast show.”
The song is written by YG Ent producer Teddy who also produced many previous hits like ‘Lollipop’, ‘I Don’t Care’, ‘KISS’.
The song ‘You And I’ will be included in 2NE1 upcoming first full length album.
