It has been announced that the youngest son of Lee Kwang Ki, a well-known figure in Korean entertainment, passed away earlier today. The young boy was only seven years old.
Lee Kwang Ki passed away in Paik Hospital in Ilsan, Gyeonggi. "Kwang Ki called us earlier today; amidst his tears, he told us the devastating news about his son."
The cause of death was pneumonia, reports reveal. "Kwang Ki's son was originally hospitalized because he showed the symptoms of swine flu," an acquaintance expressed in a phone call with Newsen. "His illness wasn't serious when he was first admitted into the hospital."
Sources also revealed that Kwang Ki had been living alone in Korea in recent months, and had sent his family to Manila, Philippines for his son and daughter's studies, and only recently reunited. This period of distance has only made the loss of his son that much harder for Kwang Ki. "Many entertainment stars have reached out and are mourning with him."
