PPB Group: Price target upgrade
(Buy; RM11.10; PEP MK; TP RM13.70)
In our Wilmar report issued yesterday, the net earnings forecast has
been downgraded by 21.4% for FY07, -7.9% for FY08 and -9% for FY10,
due to lower palm and lauric merchandising and processing margin. The
FY07 earnings revision also includes a US$57.5m one-off charge to reflect
Wilmar’s 21m share grant to employees. While the earnings were
downgraded, Wilmar’s DCF-derived target price was upgraded from
S$5.55 to S$6.05 due to upgrade in long term CPO price forecast to
between RM2,300-2,075/MT from RM1,700-1,900/MT previously.
The lower earnings will reduce PPB Group’s net profit forecast by 3.2%
for FY07, 4.6% for FY08 and 5.4% for FY09. Nevertheless, our SOPderived
target price is upgraded from RM13.00/share previously to
RM13.70/share following the higher target price for Wilmar. Our SOP
valuation assumes Wilmar’s price at S$4.85, implying a 20% holding co
discount to Wilmar’s TP of S$6.05. We continue to favour PPB Group for
its attractive valuations, upside from Wilmar as well as growing demand
for its sugar and flour divisions. We believe there is also potential for
higher dividend as a result of reduced capex. Maintain Buy.

星展集团研究继续看好棕油价格的展望，主要是因为大豆生产今年下降，拉妮娜（La Nina）现象以及生物燃料的长期需求导致其种植面积的改变以及收成可能较低。星展集团已经把棕油的长期价格从1700令吉和1900令吉之间调高到2075令吉和2300令吉之间。
　　基于棕油价格预测的改变，星展也修正了对丰益的预测，并在预测中把它对员工获配股票作出的一次性相关拨备，以及高棕油价导致棕油加工和月桂（lauric）油销售业务的税前盈利率假设遭到削减等因素反映在内。此外，星展也在预测中考虑到它最近发行面值6亿美元的可转换债券，预期将在今年底全面获得转换成公司普通股。

　　它目前仍然从第三者买入可观量额的油棕树鲜果串(FFB)，而棕油以及月桂油加工业的扣税前盈利仍占公司的三分之一，因此星展把这些因素对它07财年、08财年以及09财年每股盈利产生的负面冲击考虑在内。可是随着它接下来将增加从自家种植中获得油棕树鲜果串的供应，星展依然给予“买入”评级，并把目标价定为6.05元。
