Henry Cavill is Geralt in Netflix's Witcher series

Netflix 今日宣布，《超人：钢铁英雄》中饰演超人的亨利·卡维尔将在 Netflix 最新电视剧《巫师（The Witcher）》中扮演众多玩家熟悉的故事主角「利维亚的杰洛特-加龙省」。
Netflix 将拍摄以波兰小说家 Andrzej Sapkowski 所打造、全球闻名的《巫师》奇幻世界为背景的英语电视剧，以提供给全球观众；整个故事是基于全球畅销的幻想小说系列《猎魔士》改编，这是一个描述命运与家庭的史诗故事 ，主角杰洛特-加龙省是名孤独的狩魔猎人，在这个人类可能比魔物更加邪恶的世界中不断找寻自己的定位。
Netflix 表示，电视剧将由 Andrzej Sapkowski 担任创意顾问来指导，将分为八集。 亨利·卡维尔将会领衔演出主角杰洛特-加龙省。 整个节目统筹由拍摄过《夜魔侠》、《捍卫者联盟》影集的 Lauren Schmidt Hissrich 负责，而八集将分别由三位导播包括《权力游戏》、《纸牌屋》的 Alik Sakharov、《卢克·凯奇》的 Alex Garcia Lopez、《外乡人》的 Charlotte Brändström 来负责。

Henry Cavill to lead the cast of Netflix's THE WITCHER saga
• Henry Cavill (Mission Impossible - Fallout, Justice League) will lead the cast of The Witcher saga, playing the role of Geralt of Rivia.
• Showrunner/EP: Lauren Schmidt Hissrich (Marvel’s Daredevil, Marvel’s The Defenders, Umbrella Academy)
• Director/EP: Alik Sakharov (House of Cards, Game of Thrones) — 4 episodes, including the first episode
• Director: Alex Garcia Lopez (Marvel’s Luke Cage, Utopia) — 2 episodes
• Director: Charlotte Brändström (Outlander, Counterpart, Disparue) — 2 episodes
• The Witcher will consist of 8 episodes.
• Logline: Based on the best-selling fantasy series, The Witcher is an epic tale of fate and family. Geralt of Rivia, a solitary monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts. But when destiny hurtles him toward a powerful sorceress, and a young princess with a dangerous secret, the three must learn to navigate the increasingly volatile Continent together.
