最新EDL消息：大选后，国阵赢了肯定收费！！！

我在Pandan上EDL不远处看到有一排电子扫描器，不知道是否以后上EDL都要使用SMART TAG, 可能不会再有收费站了！

从 ZON duty free 那条路转右出来直走靠左就可以上 EDL 廖。

   应该就在那一带， 我是昨天第一次经过，也是到目前为止，唯一的一次使用EDL.

（吉隆坡3日訊）馬資源（MRCB,1651,主板建築組）首席執行員拿督莫哈末拉吉說，東部疏散大道（EDL）原訂於5月1日起收費，單程收費6令吉20仙。
“目前我們正等待政府對大道收費進行檢討，雖然沒有規定何時作出定案，不過我們希望愈快解決愈好，因為這衝擊馬資源與使用大道者。”
該集團是透過伊斯蘭債券取得10億4千多令吉的融資，以興建此大道，莫哈末拉吉今日在股東大會後指出，目前債務攤還情況良好，只需攤還利息。（星洲互動）

如果真的时RM6.20单程，可能等他开始收费后， Jln. Tebrau又要回复塞车的日子了。

RM6.20是给MRCB （发展商），有报导提到还有RM1.45要给PLUS（管理者），加起来总共RM7.65单程。
到时最好大家一起杯葛这条大盗，给他看看人民的力量。

EDL may come under govt

KUALA LUMPUR (April 4, 2012): The government may consider taking over the newly opened Eastern Dispersal Link (EDL) linking the North-South Expressway to the Johor Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) Complex, from Malaysian Resources Corporation Bhd (MRCB).

"The government has many options to consider, whether to buy in(to) the EDL, impose a levy, or others. It should be a win-win situation for the government and MRCB. We hope the government comes to its decision soonest," MRCB CEO Datuk Mohamed Razeek Hussain told reporters after the company's AGM yesterday.

He said the government is reviewing the issue of the toll charges on the EDL, which opened on Sunday.

The EDL, which was developed by MRCB at a cost of RM1.4 billion, has generated public outcry over the proposed high toll charges, which will see motorists paying RM6.20 on the EDL and RM1.45 to PLUS Bhd for one way, compared with the current RM2.90 for a return trip to Singapore via the Johor Causeway.

About 60,000 vehicles are expected at the CIQ a day.

On MRCB's direction, chairman Tan Sri Azlan Zainol said the group is looking for land in Johor Baru, Penang and the Klang Valley, specifically in Sungai Buloh, as it wants to grow its property business.
The group's other core businesses are engineering and construction, infrastructure and building services.

Azlan said the company is looking at property development to account for about 60% of the group's business. Last year, the division contributed 75% to group profit and 40% to revenue.

He added: "We hope that by the second half of this year, some of the Sungai Buloh land that belongs to the Employees Provident Fund will be parcelled to an open bidding process to allow developers like MRCB to participate in the development."

Azlan said MRCB's move to focus on property development was due to the intense competition in the engineering and infrastructure businesses, where profit margins are small.

"We are trying to make sure that we have a more sustainable income that's recurring every year by doing more property development rather than engineering and construction."

He added: "This year is not going to be an easy year for us. We hope to keep the profit at the same level and by 2013, we think the profit flow will be much better. A lot of projects that we've been doing will be completed in 2013."
