  那些会攻击我们本身的 会在embryonic development 的时候自动死掉。 MHC 会bind 跟那些对我们身体有 responce（ 就是对我们有敌意的immune cell） 的 immune cell。 然后destroy 掉， 所以到最后剩下的只有对身体没有敌意的 immune cell。

这个是concept of self & non-self 的前面part

replication那里我不是很了解那条从3‘到5’ 的strand.
transcription 和 translation也不适合凝白……haiz。。。。

transcriptiondna 是 double helix, 所以unwind 后 会有两条。 5‘ - 3’ and 3‘ - 5’。 为了产生rna， 我们需要到RNA polymerase enzyme. RNA polymerase enzyme 来到DNA， 然后会找promoter region （起跑点/ start point） ， 然后就会开始找，一边找，一边unwind DNA.
只有一个strand 会拿来做mRNA， （DNA 3' - 5'). 因为这样mRNA 就是 （5‘ - 3’）。

当它找到起跑点，它就会开始工作。 那些 complementary 的ribonucleotides就会来bind。 工作完成，产生mRNA. 【DNA 不是全部都能用，能用的叫exon，不能用的叫 intron， 那些 intron的part(mRNA)就会被抽出来，丢掉， 由sliceosome帮忙，这样才能产生有用的mRNA.
mRNA会离开nucleus 去到cytoplasm 做 protein。

translation 我不大会解释，要有图才好讲。

protein synthesis 09/10年出过essay， 所以我没有熟读。

2. what is meant by vector in DNA cloning? State the characteristics of vector, ( 6 marks) 【1997】
3. explain the steps involved in the synthesis of human insulin. (10 marks) 【2004】

尽量问问题吧，什么懂的，不懂的都可以提问。

A study on the resistance of 400 mices towards a type of poison has been carried out. The resistance characteristics is controlled by the dominant allele R. 36% of the mice population is found to be resistant towards the poison. Calculate the number of mice expected to be carriers.

如何算？那36% 包括heterozygous 的吗？谢谢解答。

(64/100) x 400 = rr = 256        r=square root (256/400) =0.8
R+r=1  R+0.8=1  R=0.2
题目要carrier， 所以是Rr， （2X0.8X0.2) =[2pq]
答案是0.32

   这题十五分吗？>.<这个题目，如果没有错的话，应该是要你说gluconeogenesis。就是当你的身体不够glucose时，glycogen也被用得7788了，那么就会用你的lipid和protein convert去glucose（先是lipid，最后真的没有办法才会用到protein）

lipid（fat）是由glycerol和fatty acid组成。
当gluconeogenesis时，lipid会被hydrolyse成 glycerol= (C3H8O3）和fatty acid（H3C---(---CH2------)-n----COOH).
glycerol是3c carbon，所以会glycolysis变成triose，然后pyruvate，然后acetyl coA，过后进去krebs cycle for respiration...
fatty acid里面有很多的C2H4， 这些C2H4会代替acetyl coA进入pyruvate，然后一样krebs cycle 拿到energy。

如果是protein的话，就是先deamination，然后那些protein可以变成3C，4C，或5C的amino acid(c=carbon)
3c代替pyruvate进入，4c代替oxaloacetate，5c代替alpha-ketogutarate，全部进入krebs cycle拿到energy。


如果是我，我只会这样回答咯，我不会怎样拿15分>.<
