The color in KMnO4 arises from an electronic transition, but it is actually not a d-d transition, since the Mn in this compound has no d electrons. It arises from a charge transfer reaction within the molecule, in which photons promote an electron from the highest energy molecular orbital in one of the Mn-O bonds to an empty d orbital on the manganese. This promotion is equivalent to the energy of a yellow photon, so yellow light is absorbed leaving us to see purple, the complementary color.
MnO4- : The permanganate ion having tetrahedral geometry is intensely purple due to strong absorption involving charge transfer from MO derived primarily from filled oxygen p orbitals to empty MO derived from manganese(VII).

no of mole of NH3 in water = mass/rmm
= 33/17
= 1.9 mol
concentration of saturated solution = 1.9/ (100cm^3 X 10^-3)
= 19 mol dm^-3
感觉好像有问题。。。确定是33g? 3.3g好像比较logic

The way I do is ..
P1 = (500 x 10)/700 = 7.142
P2 = (200 x 5)/700 = 1.428
Total Pressure = P1 + P2
= 8.57 (round off = 8.6)
where 700 = total volume
P1 & P2 = partial pressure
Don't know whether is correct. |

4.6g/46=0.1 mol of ethanol release 136.7kj
1 mol of ethanol release 1367 kj.(all in standard conditions)
so the standard enthaply change of combustion of ethanol is 1367 kj per mol.
by writing out all the equations and cut off to form the equations of formation of ethanol...from there and calculate the enthalpy...this is safer way to calculate enthalpy instead forming energy cycle.. |

Sometimes I am confused about the arrow..Can I draw the arrow all toward the ethanol??? mean the final product is ethanol..urs final product is CO2 and H20...so can??? |
