dx/da = -3sin a -3cos²a(-sin a)
= -3sin a + 3 sin a cos²a
= -3 sin a(1-cos²a)
= -3sin³a
y= 3sin a-sin³a
dy/da = 3cos a -3sin²a cos a
=3cos a(1-sin²a)
= 3cos³a
dy/dx= dy/da x da/dx
= 3cos³a . -1/3sin³a
= -cot³a |

where k is positive integer
show that: cos kx d^2y/dx^2 =k^2y^2
