2NE1 to perform 4 songs for followup promotions to 1st minialbum
Group 2NE1 will continue with unique promotions for their followup hit for their 1st minialbum promotions.
The girls released their first minialbum beginning of July with the title song ‘I Don’t Care’, and recently the girls went on a 5-day vacation, and will be coming back to promote the followup song from the album from end-August.
Normally for Kpop artiste, they will choose one song other than the title song as the followup hit to promote, but for 2NE1, they will be promoting all 4 songs ‘Pretty Boy’, ‘In The Club’, ‘Let’s Go Party’ and ‘Stay Together’ for their followup promotions.
YG Entertainment said, “After the release of 2NE1’s first minialbum, not only is the title song doing well up on music charts, other songs on the album were also very well-received, that is why we decided that we will not go with just 1 song for their followup promotions.”
With that, the group will perform all 5 songs from the first minialbum. From debut, 2NE1 has been adopting special promotions tactics – with their 1 performance 1 week tactic and also debuting through a CF song ‘Lollipop’.
An SBS Special documentary on 2NE1 is set to air on September 6th, 2009. The documentary will try to uncover the secrets of what goes into making a hit song.
An SBS official stated:
"We've completed filming and the production is now in editing. We're trying to discover what, if any patterns exist in hit songs, therefore the documentary will analyze previous hit songs and artists as well as the present."
This documentary will cover past hit songs by artists such as, Kim Gunmo, Lee Moonsae, Shin Seunghun and of course now 2NE1.
The crew stated:
"YG Entertainment's 2NE1 is the hottest group at the moment. We have interviewed CEO Yang Hyuksuk, Producers Teddy (1Tym) and G-Dragon (Big Bang), to try to discover the secrets of how a hit song is created."
2NE1 to end promotions for ‘I Don’t Care’ with 3rd remix – unplugged version
Popular girlgroup 2NE1 will reveal the 3rd remix version to the song ‘I Don’t Care’.
The group won 5 consecutive #1 on KBS Music Bank and 3 consecutive #1 on SBS Inkigayo, as well as topping various online music charts, taking the Kpop realm by storm with the song ‘I Don’t Care’.
A representative from YG Entertainment said, “2NE1 has much greed to show everyone new features everytime through much practice.”
The 3rd remix will be made by Rollercoaster’s Jinu and 1TYM’s Song BaekKyung and will be a unplugged version. It will be a remix with a 180degrees transformation from the original song, and will be revealed on SBS Inkigayo on 30th August.
The group will move on to promote 4 other songs from their 1st minialbum as followup promotions from ‘I Don’t Care’.
