Crudepalm oil prices may rise to MYR4,000 a metric ton again this year onthe back of strong demand and rising crude prices, Yusof Basiron, chiefexecutive of the Malaysian Palm Oil Council said Thursday.
"There is a large upside potential in CPO prices because biodieseldemand may revive due to the rising crude prices," Yusof said.
He said that Malaysia's palm oil stocks are likely to decline fromcurrent levels during the remainder of the year because of strongoverseas demand from countries such as India.
Yusof said Malaysia's palm oil production is expected to continuerising in 2009, when it could exceed 17 million tons. In 2008,production could exceed 16.5 million tons, while Malaysia's palmexports could grow 4% on year this year, he said.

政府没钱了，要加油棕的税，叫做暴利税，也叫光明正大打抢税。KLK赢利增加但反而跌，看来可以等收便宜货了。 |

暴利税是一个机会。趁投资者失去理智的抛售，我们接货
抽税并不是要公司亏本，只是少赚了些罢了。 |

其实本来都已经抽很多税了（要不然谁来津贴食用油？），现在只是要重新调整它的税务结构。
据说暴利税只会影响EPS1-2%而已。 |
