f-1x = surd x+1
fx=f-1x
then,
x^2 -4x +1 = surd x+1
(x^2-4x+1)^2 = x+1 .
应该是这样 ...

a)sketch graph , 我sketch 了，也知道是怎样
b)determine set of value of x which defines the function

h(x)=In (4x-x^2) + 1/(surd (gx))

2.fx=1+e^-x
gx=In (2x-3)

determine the set of values of x so that g[f(x)] is defined

你必须把他给SKETCH出来。
因为问题有讲x<3,也就是说不包括3，所以你应该有算到0，3，0.6972， complex number
of coz complex number is not acceptable
x cannot =3, because x<3
when reflected on y=x, f^-1(x) will intersect on 1 and 3
since x never include 3, when it reflected, it oso never include 3 at y-axis,therefore x=0 also not accept
therefore, only one answers x=0.6972 is acceptable.

不过我比较常用1和2的

我老师讲0也是POSITIVE,我老师只是讲0不是natural number而已。
