The Board of Directors of POLY GLASS FIBRE (M) BHD. ("the Company") wishes to announce that the Company has on 1 December 2020 incorporated a wholly-owned subsidiary known as DIAMOND CREEKS ECO FARM SDN. BHD. [Company No.: 202001039298 (1395619-W)] to carry out plantation of tropical fruits primarily durian (Musang King) on the property held under the Company's wholly-owned subsidiary, Golden Approach Sdn. Bhd. The business entails the plantation, harvesting, transportation, processing, marketing, sales and distribution of the durian fruits, as well as other related downstream business activities ("Durian Business"). The rationale for undertaking the Durian Business as an additional principal activity of the Company's existing core business is to diversify the Company's assets management. The Durian Business may contribute positively towards the earnings and net assets per share of the Company in near future. None of the Directors and/or major shareholders of the Company and/or persons connected with them have any direct or indirect interest in the Durian Business. The Board is of the opinion that the Durian Business is in the best interest of the Company. This announcement is dated 1st day of December 2020.
