（吉隆坡19日讯）利达（Brite-Tech Bhd）遭一名前执行董事起诉，因涉嫌泄露他的内陆税收局信件中的个人资料予某些职员。

利达今日向大马交易所报备，Chan Ah Kien在诉讼中声称，该信的内容在去年6月19日和20日也疏忽地泄露给税务代理。

被起诉的还有利达独资子公司Hooker Chemical私人有限公司，Chan曾担任后者的董事。

Chan就疏忽而造成的一般损害、将由法庭评估的违反注意义务、泄密及侵害隐私索偿。

他声称，这些违规行为令他感到难堪、痛苦、屈辱、受挫、沮丧、失去尊严和焦虑。

利达表示，该集团已委任律师对诉讼作出回应和辩护。

该公司估计，潜在的责任取决于可能招致的索赔额及未偿金额的利息，以及法律费用。

该公司补充，除了索赔金额之外，诉讼预计不会对集团产生其他财务或营运影响。

The Company wishes to announce that BTECH (the “1st Defendant”) and Brite-Tech Corporation Sdn. Bhd. (“BCSB” or the “2nd Defendant”), a wholly owned subsidiary of BTECH, were served with a Writ of Summons and Statement of Claim, dated 22 January 2018, in the High Court of Kuala Lumpur at Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur by Mr. Chan Ah Kien (“the Plaintiff”), a former executive director of BTECH and a former director of Hooker Chemical Sdn. Bhd. (“HCSB”), a wholly owned subsidiary of BTECH. The Writ of Summons and Statement of Claim were received by BTECH on 26 January 2018 and by BCSB on 25 January 2018. (“BCSB”), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, has accepted Term Financing Facilities of RM16,500,000.00 (‘the Term Financing Facilities”) and Islamic Foreign Exchange facility of RM1,000,000.00 granted by Hong Leong Islamic Bank Berhad to part finance the construction cost of two units of single storey factory cum 3 storey office to be erected on two pieces of industrial land at Mukim Kapar, Daerah Klang, Negeri Selangor and also to part finance the purchase of the two said industrial lands. The Company will provide a corporate guarantee of RM16,600,000.00 in favour of Hong Leong Islamic Bank Berhad in respect of the Term Financing Facilities and the Islamic Foreign Exchange facility granted to BCSB. None of the Directors and/or major shareholders of BTECH or persons connected to the Directors and/or major shareholders of BTECH have any interest, direct or indirect in the term financing facility. Working experience and occupation

He has been in the insurance industry for more than thirty five years handling all aspects of general and life insurance in the areas of management, marketing, underwriting, claims, finance, investment, accounts and statistics, credit control, reinsurance, broking, net-working and distribution, training and leadership roles.
