Let them bear children to death; they are created for that.”这段话是University of Glasglow的大学讲师以讹传讹听来了，那么恐怕对他们严谨的学术研究是一项很严重的抨击哦。西湖也找到了在路德教会网站也出现了这段话，想必路德派不会也是以讹传讹“听来”的吧：

Well, he does recognize motherhood as a legitimate Christian vocation, but clearly he is no expert on the matter. So much more needs to be said, and it needs to be said by those engaged by the theological vision of the Lutheran tradition but denied (spared) the luxury of making such obtuse applications! For this tradition can help mothers think well about their labor and live hopefully in the midst of its tensions. And mothers can help the church give new depth and understanding to the confessional positions we still profess to be normative.

唉，Peter前辈您的怒气西湖是了解的，您是认为女人就是被創造出來成為妻子和娼妓这句话很恶毒，肯定不会是您所敬仰的马丁路德所说的，所以才会认为是有人引证错误。然而，事实是让您失望的。这句对您来说是非常“恶毒”甚至是“诅咒”的话语，其实是出自Martin Luther, Works 12.94里头的：
"The word and works of God is quite clear, that women were made either to be wives or prostitutes."

Even in 1905 Boehmer had stated that it comprised some 2,000 volumes, not counting articles, brochures, etc., and “since then the flood has risen tremendously. How can one escape drowning?” Professor Febure gives an admirable short bibliography in his book just mentioned, and to this the reader is confidently referred.

In the references given, E refers to the Erlangen edition of Luther's works, W to the Weimar edition. The first figure indicates the volume, the second the page.

Peter前辈，Luther's Works是马丁路德的工作文献总结。曾经有过多位神学家做过整理的。其中最完整的要算是在1883年由德国的Weimar Press出版的。而学者Jarostav Pelikan和H. T. Lehmann则是英译本的翻译者。后来的学者们在引述Luther's Works的时候都是采用标准古籍的引证方法。所以，Works 12.94既是指出现在Luther's Works第12卷，第94页（Weimar版本）的叙述。所以，这并不是有人故意捏造的，而是有本有据的。

所以，在Luther's Works中，我们能够找到：

Works 12.94
"The word and works of God is quite clear, that women were made either to be wives or prostitutes."
Works 20.84
"Even though they grow weary and wear themselves out with child- bearing, it does not matter; let them go on bearing children till they die, that is what they are there for."

至于为什么在路德派的网站之中找不到这段话的引述，我想Peter兄您是能理解的吧。Peter兄在看了Works 12.94中关于“女人就是被創造出來成為妻子和娼妓”都动气了，何况是其他人呢？

一個人的氣度涵養反映他的教育思想以及還有宗教．聖經是不是真理姑且不論，從資深教徒的身上，我們也看到其宗教教育的成敗．把論壇上的爭論與現實生活中的情緒糾纏得如此不清，也不是一件理智的事．

這個世界最缺乏的是寬容的心．以巴沖突，美伊戰爭，以至現在的虐囚事件，都是因為人與人之間因政治，文化，宗教，種族問題而不能互相寬容諒解．所以我們更須引以為鑒，在宗教論壇上為不能証明的真理作爭論的時候，希望大家都能宗教的歸宗教，生活的歸生活，“各從其類”，則至少心情也會暢快一些．

我上网寻找Luther's Works的完整文章，可惜却找不到。
我觉得如果能找到完整的文章，就能确定马丁路德是否有说过这句话。

现在争论的课题，只是马丁路德是否有讲过这句话而已。

至于这个文句的主要意义，应该读完整个Works 12全部章句才能断定吧？
文章的诠释由基督教徒去解决吧。不过这个诠释不在争议之中吧？

如果说马丁路德没说过这句话，为何反基督徒会拿来大作文章呢？难得有人这么空闲去无中生有？

其实就算马丁路德说过，没有细加研究全文(不是断章取意)，也不能断定说马丁路德就此言论而鄙视女人。

基督教徒应该取完整的全文来诠释让人信服才是。不是一昧否决这个那个。

我打个比方，只是一个比方：
比如说A要保护幼小的孩童而误杀了一名恶徒。
B是A的朋友，B死硬说A没有杀人。事实上A是有杀人嘛。硬说A没有杀人是无法令人信服。如果C站出来替A说话，说明事实真相A是有杀人，不过其出发点是这样那样。才能令大众信服。

同样地，D见到A杀人，把这个秘密公开给一部份的人知道。后来给E知道，E告诉大众说A杀人。可以B却死硬说A没有杀人，要E拿出证据。E就只有搬出D出来。可是B却不相信D说的。B不相信却又自己不去找真相。只是一昧推说A没杀人。这样如何让人信服呢？
