BERJAYA SPORTS TOTO BERHAD (“BTOTO” OR “THE COMPANY”) ARTICLE ENTITLED “BERJAYA SPORTS TOTO MAY BREACH BARRIER” We refer to the article which appeared on page 41, in the Biz News section of the New Straits Times newspaper dated 18 February 2008, in particular the following  sentences :- “Last week, Berjaya Sports Toto Bhd staged a technical rebound on market talk of a major shareholder taking private the company.” “Berjaya Sports Toto Bhd staged a renewed rebound on market talk of its major shareholder, with direct and indirect holdings of 50.17 per cent as at February 4, thinking of taking the company private.” The Company wishes to inform that after due and diligent enquiry with its directors, major shareholders and all such other relevant persons  familiar with matters of the Company,  none of the aforesaid has any plans to privatise the Company, as reported in the said news article.
