Her husband is at a crossroads in his career at the moment.
at a crossroads 是固定词组,
Longman
a time when someone has to make very important decisions which will affect their future
还有就是 in his career
1. 第二句用 I used to walk ...和 I would walk ...
遛狗 walk 是重复性动作,所以用 would 或 used to 都可以。
对,宠物通常用 he/she/him/her 来称呼;不确定性别的动物应该是用 it 吧?

The goods shall be at the risk of the purchaser from the time of delivery to the purchaser not withstanding that the property in the goods shall not have passed to the purchaser.
The goods shall be at the risk of the purchaser
from the time of delivery to the purchaser
notwithstanding that the property in the goods shall not have passed to the purchaser
(notwithstanding = in spite of something = 不管、尽管)

I started playing basketball when I was 8.

difference = noun
different = adjective
