有些没家教的老外会说:“Do you speak English?" 好的会说:“Sorry, I can't hear you.” |

"~ and ~" 在一般情况下是复数,所以需要[复数动词]如 are, have, do...
the president and the founder ...
如果用peace and security are ...,会有错吗?

风前辈, 为什么不能用 on this saturday ? 难道是 on Saturday 或 this saturday?
哈哈,因为我习惯用 on Saturday 或 this/next/last Saturday,从不用 on this/next/last Saturday...
可是语法上 on this/next/last Saturday 有没有错?
最安全的做法就是: on Saturday 或 on this/next/last Saturday
就是 each, every, last, next, this, that 之前不加介词(on等)
参考别人的意见: http://www.englishforums.com/Eng ... nday/zvnnk/post.htm
about 144,000,000 for "on Monday"
about 3,970,000 for "on this Monday"
about 157,000,000 for "on Friday"
about 20,600,000 for "on this Friday"
about 121,000,000 for "on Sunday"
about 17,200,000 for "on this Sunday"
What is gong on this Sunday?

对,用[单数动词]如 is, was, has 等
如果用peace and security are ...,会有错吗?
about 2,000,000 for "boy and girl"
about 672,000 for "girl and boy"
about 6,390,000 for "man and woman"
about 440,000 for "woman and man"
about 2,400,000 for "peace and security"
about 27,300,000 for "security and peace"
“security and peace” 大获全胜,
about 1,710,000 for "fish and chips"
about 1,240,000 for "chips and fish"

Valerie Polkoff ^ who had died age 90 ^ escaped from the Russia with her family at 1917.
Valerie Polkoff, who had died age 90, escaped from the Russia with her family in 1917.
原文:
Valerie Polkoff, who has died aged 90, escaped from Russia with her family in 1917.
Valerie Polkoff, who died at the age of 90, escaped from Russia with her family in 1917.

Valerie Polkoff escaped from Russia with her family in 1917.
The man (who was shot by the police last night) escaped from the prison two weeks ago.
如果删除那段 who was shot by the police last night
The man 的定义就含糊了,听的人会有疑问,the man?
有了 who was shot by the police last night 来说明 the man 是指那个人 ,听着就有概念了。
Valerie Polkoff......

(1) My brother, who works at the bank, got married last week.
(2) My brother who works at the bank got married last week.

The world No.1 player
The world No.1s player
The world No.1's player
The world's No.1 player

The world No.1 player
The world No.1s player
The world No.1's player
The world's No.1 player
The world's tallest building...
Malaysia's highest mountain...
所以...
The world's No. 1 player |

Jose:
What makes you think that...
这里的 what 是[主语/subject], you 是[宾语/object]
是 make 还是 makes 和 you ([宾语/object]) 没有关系。
Who wants a chocolate?
What is there to do in K.L. over Christmas?
What is a mammal?
What are insects?
