INTRODUCTION Naim Holdings Berhad (“NAIM” or “the Company”) wishes to announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Naim Engineering Sdn. Bhd. has received a Letter of Acceptance dated 10 October 2022 for the award of the project known as the Proposed Construction of Wisma Melayu at Salak Land District (“Project”) from Amanah Khairat Yayasan Budaya Melayu Sarawak (“AKYBMS”).
2. DURATION AND CONTRACT VALUE The contract is for a period of thirty (30) months commencing from 8 November 2022, (being the date of possession of site) at a contract sum of Ringgit Malaysia Seventy-Three Million only (RM73,000,000.00).
3. RISK FACTORS The risks factors affecting the Project includes changes in economic, political, and regulatory environments and operational risks such as completion risk, fluctuation in prices of construction materials and shortage of materials and skilled labour which the Group would take appropriate measures to minimise.
4. FINANCIAL IMPACT The Project is expected to contribute positively to the revenue and earnings of the Group over the duration of the contract.
5. DIRECTORS’ AND MAJOR SHAREHOLDERS’ INTERESTS None of the directors and/or major shareholders of the Company and/or persons connected with them, has any interest, direct or indirect in the Project. NAIM will make the necessary announcement to Bursa Malaysia as and when there is any material development to the Project.
