I’m Azlan Ismail, the Chief Instructor for The Kuala Lumpur Skydiving Association. We offer static line jump courses for skydiving enthusiasts.
We only started jumping this year after laying off for about a couple of years due to the unavailability of aircraft. It is only recently that we manage to secure an aircraft operator that is willing to fly us.
FEES
The 2 jumps course is now at RM990.00 and the 1 jump course at RM700.00.
This new price is effective since beginning of this year as we now have a new aircraft operator as the last one does not want to do skydiving anymore.
The price is not inclusive of transportation, food and lodging.
For the 2- jump course we can only commence class when we have an enrolment of not less than 10 people and the maximum of 16 people and for the 1 jump course, just double the figure. This is due to the high cost for flying in the aircraft from Kuala Lumpur.
DROPZONE
The dropzone is at the Segamat Golf and Country Club, Segamat, which is about 2-3 hours drive south of Kuala Lumpur. This is the only place that the relevant authority allows us to skydive from sunrise till sunset without any interruptions except for mother nature of course. It is an ideal location for student skydiving.
We are not allowed to jump in KL due to the busy air traffic and further more its dangerous for student jumpers due to the many obstacles on the ground.
CLASSES
Ground classes are done in Kuala Lumpur except for groups from Singapore, which will be done in Segamat itself. Classes last for about 4-5 hours and is normally conducted on a Saturdays. Jumps are held on Sundays.
AIRCRAFT
The jumpship is a Cessna 172 which is a 4-seater aircraft.
JUMPS
Jumps are from 3500 feet and above. Students will have walkie-talkies on them to enable the ground instructor to talk and guide them safely to the ground. The third and subsequent jumps will cost RM250.00 per jump.
FREEFALL
Freefall can be achieved after 4-5 static line jumps. The first and second freefall jumps from 6000 feet will cost RM700 each as the instructor will be jumping together while holding on to the jumper before releasing him. Freefall jumps after that will cost RM320.00 per jump.
PAYMENT
A deposit of RM400.00 is to be paid 4 days before the class starts and students who decide not to jump after class ends will have RM200.00 forfeited.
DISCOUNT
Sorry to disappoint, but we can’t afford to give one due to high overhead.
TANDEM JUMPS
We do not offer tandem jumps as we have don’t have the expertise.
WHEN IS THE NEXT CLASS
I cannot give an exact date as mentioned earlier I can only start class when I have enough registered students. We request for the permit to conduct jumps every weekend of the month. If there are groups interested to do jumps on weekdays, do inform us about 3 weeks in advance to enable us to request for the permit which takes 2 weeks for approval.
ATTIRE
Everything except for shoes will be provided. Sports shoes are ideal. Sandals are totally disallowed. Shoes with mental eyelids, those normally found on trekking shoes are not recommended.
HOTELS
Being a small town, the best can be given a 3 star. Price range from RM70.00 to RM90.00 for a twin bedded room.

ground course（teory）在kl；segamat跳。
