劉蝶廣場事件不影響業務‧烏托邦樂觀看待前景

（吉隆坡20日訊）烏托邦（UTOPIA，0140，創業板貿服組）積極看待未來疲軟環境，劉蝶廣場騷亂事件並不影響該公司業務。

今天股東大會結束後，該公司執行董事梁勝維表示，雖然目前大馬市場出現疲態，但由於資訊產品已經和衣食住行的重要性一樣，無論生活或工作都離不開資訊產品，因此對未來的資訊產品市場保持樂觀。

針對劉蝶廣場騷亂事件，是否對公司業務造成影響，他解釋：“劉蝶廣場大約40%的營業額來自國外遊客，60%來自本地消費者，事件對公司的衝擊並不大。更何況，騷亂只是個別事件，時過境遷消費者也逐步回流。”

相較短期的騷亂事件，消費者對整個經濟環境的悲觀情緒，對公司的衝擊更大。

他說：“雖然目前經濟基本面良好，但是消費者卻有錢不敢花。政府必須提出一些具體政策，解決目前的政經危機，才能讓消費者重拾信心。”

針對公司營業額增加，盈利卻減少，梁勝維表示，這是因為競爭對手削價，導致公司也只能採取薄利多銷的策略應對，這導致截至今年3月的財政年度虧損1千356萬7千令吉。
他也補充說，馬幣持續下滑，導致產品的成本上升是該公司無法控制的事實。

“若生產商調漲商品價格，無可避免的將轉嫁給消費者。”

但他對公司前景表示樂觀。

他認為只有踏實經營業務，股價漲跌只是一時。

該公司有健康的現金流，截至今年3月為止的現金流總額為1千347萬7千令吉。

他認為嚴峻的環境，反而是驗證一家公司是否有實力，套一句巴菲特講過的話“只有退潮時，才知道誰在裸泳”。（星洲日報／財經）

多元化業務‧烏托邦擬生產液壓設備

（吉隆坡22日訊）烏托邦（UTOPIA，0140，創業板貿服組）計劃多元化業務至更多不同的領域，包括與液壓自動化設備相關的領域，以期以全新企業形象示眾。

烏托邦執行董事許傅華說，公司有計劃重新激活生產液壓自動化設備的業務。

“該業務每年貢獻5%或1千萬令吉的營業額，雖然並不顯著，但是，卻擁有發展潛能，賺幅也很好。我們不排除在日後多元化業務至與液壓自動化設備相關的領域。”

許傅華在股東大會後說，目前公司的核心業務依然是資訊科技，按年貢獻營業額95%或3億4千萬令吉。

“公司目前專注於在劉蝶廣場的零售管理業務，該業務主要是提供產品於零售商。”

他指出，公司目前尚尋找合適的合作夥伴及業務。

公司易名

“我們尚未決定多元化業務至甚麼領域，可能是其他領域，也可能是與資訊科技相關的領域。”

他說，公司將會在2016年首季公佈詳情。

烏托邦於週二舉行特別股東大會，討論更換公司名字議程，並獲得股東通過。

許傅華說，公司將名字從烏托邦更換至躍進（Sterling Progress）是希望能夠建立新的企業形象。

“Sterling代表非常好的進展，很好的水平。”

這是該公司在上市後第二度易名。

許傅華也表示，公司在明年將會面對嚴峻的考驗，因為將會有新的競爭者。他說，公司業務在今年受到實施消費稅、劉蝶廣場事件及建設輕快鐵工程影響。
