[NEWS] Taeyang’s beard receives bad feedback “just dirty”

Big Bang member Taeyang (real name Dong young bae) was seen with a noticeably different appearance and is now a hot topic in the online discussions.

On June 10th “Into the Fire” VIP premiere opened and all of the Big Bang members attended. Members were there to celebrate the debut of their fellow member TOP (real name Choi seung hyun) in the film. Taeyang, Daesung, G-Dragon and Seungri were seen at the movie theater.

Big Bang who was at last doing a group activity didn’t have the attention of the fans however, instead their poisonous eyes were fixed on Taeyang. As Taeyang appeared with a beard. At the scrapings of his nose and under his chin a short beard had grown up.

This captured the interests of an online community of netizens and after photos of Taeyang at the scene were revealed the “hairy youngbae” nickname was given to him and led to a tense disagreement between fans.

Negative reactions toward the picture were “it seems better to cut the beard off” “do not forget he is still an idol” “dirty”, and others.

On the other hand other netizens showed that this was well received by leaving positive feedback, such as, “but he still looks cool” “It’s okay, I like men with beards” and “very manly”, etc.

[NEWS] TOP will not promote “Turn It Up” and Big Show 2010 DVD will be out on October 23rd


On June 15th a teaser of TOP’s “Turn It Up” was publicly available online after YG Entertainment released a teaser to the public through an online teaser video. TOP is expected to show a variety of different charms in his luxurious suits and accessories.

YG Ent. stated “Turn It Up” was first shown to the public earlier this year in a surprise at the BIG BANG 2010 BIG SHOW Concert to commemorate the formal disclosure of the sale of Big Bang’s 2010 Big Show Live album which will be released on October 23rd, 2010.”

YG stated “TOP participated in composing the lyrics to the impressive song “Turn It Up” with a heave bass of hip-hop beats.”

TOP’s “Turn It Up” full song and music video will be released online through music site on June 21st. But regarding the music activities, there are not any plans of promotions for TOP.

[NEWS] Taeyang’s new album “SOLAR” Officially confirmed for July 1st!



After that rumor that Taeyang’s album would come out on June 25th, YG himself has finally spoke up and the YG Entertainment site has confirmed that Taeyang’s first full album is coming this July 1st. As well as his title track and music video.

The album will be a full album with 13 songs, including his past hits “Look only at me” and “Prayer“. The album will be titled “Solar“, as opposed to the rumor that it would be called “Real”.

There is two versions of this album, the “Deluxe edition” and the “regular edition”. The regular edition only brings 11 songs, while the deluxe edition will bring the 13 songs.

Starting on June 25th to June 30th, on Taeyang’s official YG homepage, a 1-minute teaser will released of one of Taeyang’s new song.

EDIT: Coincidently Se7en’s new mini album is scheduled to be released on July 21st so a clash in promotions between these two singers that work under the same entertainment company, YG Ent, is going to be inevitable.

TaeYang to be back with 1st full length album ‘Solar’ after 2 years on 1st July

Big Bang TaeYang will release his first full length album ‘Solar’ on 1st July.

According to YG Entertainment on 16th June, TaeYang will be releasing the album in deluxe edition on 1st July and from normal edition from 9th July. His solo song ‘Look Only At Me’ released in 2008 has received great interests and love from music fans.

The album will include 13 songs including bonus tracks like ‘Prayer’, and ‘Look Only At Me’. He will start the promotions of this new album after it is officially release. And the songs will also be revealed one at a time from 25th June till 30th June on the official site.


YG said, “This is an album with the music that TaeYang has always wanted to pursue since he was 13 years old and worked hard on. We hope that this will be a good present to fans and fans will look forward to the album since TaeYang has spent a long time preparing hard for it.”

The title song and the MV will be revealed on 1st July on online music sites on 1st July.

The new album release date for Se7en for his comeback after 3 years has been confirmed.

Se7en will release his new minialbum on 21st July. According to YG Entertainment on 16th June, “We have decided that the release date for the new album will be on 21st July.”

From Big Bang of TOP’s surprising teaser to Taeyang’s SOLAR comeback album information, this week so far was full of happy news from YG Entertainment.

Just yesterday, the title of SOLAR’s first two tracks; SOLAR (Intro) and SUPERSTAR along with Taeyang’s first photo teaser were revealed on YGE’s homepage.
