Seems like there's nothing that can stop Big Bang!
In an interview published in HERS magazine, a Japanese woman talked about how Big Bang managed to make her fall for them. It seems that the fact that Big Bang is able to write their own music is a plus in the Japanese entertainment scene, with the woman commenting, "Anything of theirs is great: lyrics, music, and even up until the choreography, they have the ability to do it themselves."
They also seem to bring out the maternal instincts of their fans as well, "After the concert, they were starving. They munched down on what they ordered, and while they suited their turtledove-like appearance with their digging, "Kyun!" my maternal instinct was unfortunately tickled. When they spoke in broken Japanese, this was once again cute, don't you think?"
It seems the members of Big Bang have also gone to Japan with their families, and have even visited an osen (Japanese hot spring) together. Their kindness and their growth as artists and people has been one of their assets in their attempt to break into the vast Jpop market. With their new music video out for their single 'Tell Me Goodbye', off the soundtrack for the Japanese release of Iris, let's wish them great success in gaining new fans in Japan.
Davichi's Minkyung close with Seungri and Goo Hara
As a 1990-er, Kang Minkyung is the same age as Kara’s Goo Hara and Big Bang’s Seungri. However, since Davichi’s songs don’t classify as “idol songs”, Davichi aren’t classified as an idol group. When asked if they feel remorse for not having the idol title, both chuckled.
Kang Minkyung also commented, "I’m only 21 but everyone thinks I’m older. I’m actually close with Hara and Seungri. I was a trainee for a long time so I have more celebrity friends than school friends. Competition? Our activity schedules never coincided so we just cheer each other on."
