美国计划禁止电子烟　英美烟草得利

（吉隆坡13日讯）美国计划禁止当地销售各种口味的电子烟，唤起人们对电子烟带来的健康危害意识，这或让传统卷烟业者英美烟草（BAT，4162，主板消费股）从中受益。

根据美国报导，过去几个月，当地出现多宗青少年因使用烟油式电子烟而引发的呼吸道相关疾病和死亡事件，导致美国当局计划禁止销售所有各种口味的电子烟。

过去数月在美国约有450起因使用上述电子烟引发的肺病，其中包括自8月以来发生的6起死亡病例。

提高健康风险警觉

美国食品及药物管理局（FDA）最新的调查数据显示，未成年人使用电子烟的人数显著成长，有1/4的美国高中生是活跃的电子烟用户，高出2018年的20.8%。

根据艾芬黄氏资本分析员的了解，除了传统烟草味的产品外，所有口味的电子烟产品预料很快将被禁止在美国零售市场中销售，直到或是如果再次获FDA授权销售。

美国的禁烟令，料提高大马公众和卫生部对烟油式电子烟所带来的健康风险方面的警觉，同时也料加深各造对于青少年使用这类产品的担忧。

目前未受管制的电子烟，预计占大马烟草使用量的8至10%。

未受管制的电子烟及走私烟合共达大马香烟市场70%的市占率。也相对的降低政府积极打击走私烟的成效。

分析员指出，随著人们对非法尼古丁产品危害的认知提高，及对电子烟及水烟产品更严厉的监督，料可限制此类产品的市占率继续膨胀，反而有利于传统合法烟草公司的卷烟销量和加热式电子烟，如菲利普莫里斯国际的IQOS加热烟，以及英美烟草即将在2019年末季推出的Glo加热式电子烟。

尽管如此，传统卷烟的销售表现仍取决于执法单位打击非法烟的进展与成效，而加热烟则可能因为电子烟的健康危害问题，而面对更严格的合规要求。

上调评级降目标价

在未尽如人意的次季业绩出炉之后，英美烟草股价急挫至20年新低，令风险对回报转佳。

分析员指出，即使因为接下来推出Glo而需要拨出更高的广告及促销开销，和合规成本而导致2020及2021财政年盈利被下修5至6%，该股的本益比估值仍处于多年新低。

因此， 分析员将该股评级从“守住”上调至“买进”。不过，却将目标价下砍至27.80令吉。

艾芬黄氏资本分析员认为， 该股6.2%至7.1%的周息率，也是当前市况下的一项优势。

（吉隆坡20日讯）英美烟草（British American Tobacco (M) Bhd）的跌势似乎还没有结束的迹象，今日挫至2003年以来最低，沦为最大下跌股。

闭市时，该股跌1令吉或7.3%，收于12.70令吉，成交量有327万4400股。过去12个月，该股挫跌了约65%。市值进一步降至36亿6000万令吉。

这意味着，英美烟草自2014年1月12日创56.80令吉历史高位以来，市值从208亿4000万令吉，蒸发了171亿8000万令吉。

这蒸发的市值，约为子母牌（Dutch Lady Milk Industries Bhd）市值（28亿8000万令吉）的6倍，以及几乎是皇帽（Carlsberg Brewery Malaysia Bhd）（市值：92亿令吉）和马来西亚喜力（Heineken Malaysia Bhd）（市值82亿3000万令吉）的总和（174亿3000万令吉）。

去年9月，英美烟草表示，该公司处于一种双输局面，即猖獗的非法烟贸易正在蚕食其市场份额，同时还必须应对快速增长的不合法电子烟市场。

两个月后，英美烟草向《The Edge》财经日报表示，将裁退大马500名员工中的20%。在此之前，其规模较小的竞争对手JT国际（JT International Bhd）宣布，将裁减450名职员中的逾三分之一。

摩根士丹利（MSCI Inc）周三（2月12日）发布文告表示，所有变动将于2月28日收盘后生效。

随着英美烟草从MSCI全球标准指数除名，它将被纳入MSCI全球小型股指数。

摩根士丹利指出，皇帽和Kerjaya Prospek Group Bhd将从MSCI全球小型股指数除名。

（吉隆坡21日讯）此前宣布截至12月杪第四季净赚9386万令吉，并录得6亿6245万令吉营业额后，英美烟草（British American Tobacco (M) Bhd）今日跳空高开，并一度上涨11%。

英美烟草宣布派发每股33仙的第四个中期股息，将于3月18日支付。这使得2019财政年的股息为每股1.18令吉，相比2018财年的1.55令吉。

截至11时15分，该股扬1.34令吉或10.55%，至14.04令吉，市值达40亿令吉。盘中最高升至14.10令吉。



丰隆投资银行研究维持英美烟草的“买入”评级，目标价从14.66令吉，上调至15令吉，并称核心净利3亿6110万令吉（按年降22.9%）高于预期，归因于销量增加而营运开销走低。

该研究机构今日在报告中指出，鉴于销量下滑，英美烟草料继续削减成本。

“英美烟草称计划在2020财年继续裁员。整个裁员计划预计将使每年节省约3500万令吉的成本。”

“此外，考虑到潜在市场规模的缩减，英美烟草在广告宣传上的支出将大幅减少。由于优质品牌Dunhill的高价位，我们预计消费者将继续转向低价烟Rothmans，后者占合法市场的份额已从2018财年初的3.2%，增至目前的6.7%。”

丰隆投行将2020和2021财年的盈利预测上调2.2和2.4%，以计入较低的营运开销。

“调高盈测后，基于贴现现金流（DCF）估值法，目标价由14.66令吉，增至15令吉。”
