叫鸡不要下蛋为免太过没有“鸡道”了吧？？
鱼浆的价格的上涨应该可以抵掉蛋价的下跌吧。 |

|
不要忘记QL有批发饲料的，在成本上会占有一定的优势，现在这样的情况或会有一定的打击，如果能够在这时候淘汰一些小型业者也是好事。现在就“5” 成本了。 |

已经建议了，五月十六号之前会向相关单位申请。
我是之前收下来的才化算，现在买来收红股不化的。
给了红股股价也一样下调，又要重新爬上来。 |

我看好QL，其业务比较多元化，上下游业务都有互补作用。就说油棕好了，从油棕果变油，再用油棕砸变肥料和饲料给鱼吃，再用肥料和食品加工后的鱼骨鱼龄等下肥给油棕树，真的是用到禁。佩服。。。啊！
还很环保呢。 |

To QL:
Regarding the recent news in Sin Chew, it mentions that the cost for
producing eggs is increasing, but the price of the eggs is decreasing. And
it might facing the slowing down of the egg productions for related egg
producer. Is it affected QL? If possible, can you let me know the cost and
the selling price of the eggs? And also the daily production of egg in QL
(Malaysia and Vietnam). Thanks for your info.

（吉隆坡）有鑒於大馬半島市場不景，在生產成本依然暴漲之下，雞蛋價格再次往下跌，蛋雞農場蒙受嚴重虧損已久，馬來西亞禽畜業聯合總會蛋雞組主任林耀火促請蛋雞農友以最快速度減產雞蛋，挽救頹勢。
禽總今日（週一，28日）再度將各級雞蛋農場價下調2分，即本週一開始之AA級雞蛋農場價22.5分，A級22分，B級21.5分，C級21分，D級20.5以及E級19.5分。
這意味著自農曆新年以來，雞蛋農場價節節下降，幾乎每一二週便下調一次，至今已下降了7分。一般來說，至今每粒雞蛋農場價格平均上只有21分，實收只有19分，農友每出售一粒雞蛋最少虧損7分，可謂損失慘重。
基於此事的日益嚴重性，林耀火在一篇文告中促請全體蛋雞農友拋棄成見給予合作，即刻減產雞蛋至少10至15%，以期望在最短時間內平衡供求挽救蛋市。

What was reported are basically Peninsular Egg prices therefore non
reflective of QL egg business. We are geographically
spread in Peninsular & East Malaysia. Peninsular Egg price are difference
from East Malaysia. In Peninsular there are too many inefficient egg
producers.
Generally their cost is higher. We sell raw material to these producers. We
produced 1.5 million eggs per day and generally made one to two sens per
egg.

Presentation summary:
Mr Freddie Yap, group accountant presented in both Hong Kong andSingapore, while Mr Chia Song Kun, managing director, presented in Singapore.
Management gave a detailed presentation on its three core businesses – Marine Products Manufacturing, Palm
Oil Activities; and Feed Commodities and Lifestock Farming. QL Resources is the largest surimi
(fish paste) producer in Asia and largest manufacturer of surimi-based products in Malaysia, with
operations throughout Malaysia and recently, Singapore. The company will be venturing into new
locations in Tanjong Manis, Sarawak; and Indonesia. On Palm Oil Activities, the company has
20,000 acres of plantation land in Eastern Kalimantan, Indonesia; and 3,000 acres in Sabah. The
company targets to plant 10,000 acres per year, and by March 2011, an estimated 36,000 will be
fully planted, from 3,000 acres currently. Meanwhile, on its egg production division, management
hopes to achieve production of 1.6m eggs/day by end-2008, from 1.5m eggs/day currently. In
Vietnam, its integrated poultry egg project will commence by end-May 2008, with targeted first
phase production of 800,000 by June 2010.
􀂃 Questions raised: Most questions raised were regarding the level of competition for surimi
products. Management’s reply is that the industry is fragmented, with many small family-run
businesses that are about 10% of its size. The market situation is that demand exceeds supply,
given that there are quotas to regulate catches from the sea. Another popular question is
regarding the trading strategy for its feed commodities division. The answer was fairly complex
with detailed hedging strategy to protect both downside and upside risks. This is unsurprising as
Mr Chia Song Kun is a mathematician by training. Another question was what happens to the
company’s competitiveness if Malaysia reduces its diesel subsidy. The answer given was that if
abolished, the supply of fish in Malaysia will drop and the company will have to revert to import of
surimi for downstream products since surimi is a world commodity. However, management is of
the view that the subsidy is not likely to be abolished given that it would affect the livelihood of
fishermen that are typically poor. |
