北京奧運有望突圍
大馬混雙爭2席
（吉隆坡29日訊）馬來西亞國家羽球隊男雙主教練烈西，希望至少有兩支混雙晉級北京奧運。
這位印尼名宿原本首聘大馬羽總執教男雙，由于烈西在掌兵近2年成績出色，今年開始羽總另將混雙任務交由他負責。

目前，在烈西心目中有3支混雙具備衝擊奧運的資格，包括陳偉強與溫可微、林欽華與黃惠齡以及魯夫迪再英與吳柳瑩。這批小將已開始隨國家隊一同在武吉加里爾訓練。

烈西表示，國家隊的古健傑、法魯茲祖安、莫哈末查克利、黃佩蒂等，都必須把集中力放在他們各自的專項，即男雙和女雙。

奧運積分賽是從本月初的新加坡超級系列賽開始，直到明年4月30日截止。每個國家若有2支組合世界排名前16，就可直接入選奧運。

力爭獎牌

一支國家最多僅限3支組合可晉級，附加條件是3組皆在世界排名前4。

此前，大馬未曾派混雙參加奧運，對烈西而言，混雙也是可以爭獎牌的項目。

在2006年馬德里世界錦標賽，古健傑與黃佩蒂為大馬貢獻一枚銅牌；黃佩蒂隨后在去年多哈亞運，與法魯茲祖安意外再為國家帶來銅牌。

烈西說：“這批混雙的主要任務是爭取奧運積分，我們會派他們參加更多比賽。”

目前，陳偉強與溫可微最受看好可晉級奧運會，這支去年全國青年亞軍，現在暫時排名世界第63。陳／溫剛在上週的越南公開賽，報到半決賽。

蘇迪曼杯處子戰
陳偉強化壓力為動力
（吉隆坡31日訊）在蘇迪曼杯首次獲重任，陳偉強將化壓力為動力。
今年18歲的陳偉強，獲得國家羽球隊的提拔，得機會代表國家隊參加蘇迪曼杯。

這是陳偉強生平第一次，代表國家隊參加世界級團體大賽。他與搭擋溫可微，將扮演混雙取分的重任。

總教練葉錦福把話說開：“他們將會是蘇迪曼杯的主力，混雙基本上是由他們挑大樑。”

陳偉強對于教練團寄于厚望，受訪時表示：“一方面感到開心，一方面感到很大壓力。”

“當教練團決定換人，派我代表時，當時我人在越南參加比賽。回國后得知這項消息，我感到很驚訝。”

據陳偉強解釋，教練派他們參加蘇杯的用意，除了鍛鍊，也希望他們藉此爭取積分，晉級明年奧運會。

他說：“很高興能獲得教練給予的機會，雖然會感到壓力，但我們會把它化為動力。”

正面心態應付

他補充：“我們會以正面心態去比賽，由于我們還很新，不會執著于去搶分，首先是做好自己的角色，發揮自己的水平，去拚對手。”

教練烈西希望他們能夠進軍明年奧運會，對此重任，陳偉強表示：“教練對我們有要求，我們也會對自己有要求。大馬近年才開始重視混雙，我們是一個開始，只會專心訓練，自我提升。”

陳偉強與溫可微，今年與國家隊一同訓練，剛開始常處于挨打的份，相當低落。

陳偉強敘述：“那時剛開始加入國家隊與師兄們一起訓練，由于他們的水平比我們高很多，往往就是只有挨打的份，每次無還手之力，就會心情低落。”

“經過一段日子，我們已習慣了，而且也發覺自己的水平有所提升，對自己開始有要求。”

為何2人會脫穎而出，獲得重任？對此，陳偉強表示：“可能，我們的優點在于速度吧。”

新羽衛星賽無敵
俊翔爭世界前30
（新加坡3日綜合電）2010-2112計劃隊小將陳俊翔，昨天在亞洲衛星錦標賽，擊敗隊友曾光明，連續兩週奪冠。
上週在越南衛星賽封王的陳俊翔，夾著冠軍喜氣再接再厲，以16比21、21比16、21比10，力挫隊友曾光明，成為計劃隊最搶眼的新秀。

大馬也掃下男雙冠軍，以雙料冠軍風光收場。邱俊傑與鄭翰彬，在決賽以19比21、21比10、23比21，先衰后盛打敗印尼組合瑟塔諾與莫末阿山，喜獲桂冠。

吉打小子陳俊翔已在國際賽打滾3年，直到上週才取得突破。

他在賽后表示：“我從首圈開始就遭遇硬仗，而且在上週拿到越南公開賽之后就直落下來打新加坡衛星賽，使我感到很疲累。”

“在我第1盤跟不上曾光明的節奏，被他的戰術牽著走，但第二盤他開始犯錯，我的信心就來了，我身上背負著贏球的壓力，幸好我最終成功戰勝了壓力。”

連奪兩項桂冠，將使陳俊翔排名進一步上升，目前他排第44。

韓國掃走3冠

“我希望能夠打入前30名，這樣我就能夠直接進入超級系列正賽。”

陳俊翔也有機會參加下個月的泰國公開賽，而19歲的曾光明，上週在越南羽賽打進半決賽之后，世界排名已從403升至205名，與冠軍擦肩而過，令他有百般滋味在心頭。

“我從來沒想過能走這麼遠，身為非種子要一路過關斬將來到決賽是很不容易，我也料到決賽會有一場硬仗，也做好了心理準備，但最后我的腿卻走不動了。”

曾光明目前在米士本手下受訓，而陳俊翔則是拉昔西迪主管計劃隊裡的高材生。韓國則在女單、女雙及混雙掃走三冠。

Kim Hock: Juniors’ displays augur well for future

PETALING JAYA: The future looks promising for Malaysian badminton in the men's single if the performances of the juniors in Vietnam International Challenge and just concluded Asian Satellite Open tournament are of any indication.

Project 2010-2012 player Tan Chun Seang bagged back-to-back titles in Ho Chi Minh City and Singapore and the other juniors, among them Mohd Arif Latif and Chan Kwong Beng, also produced encouraging performances.

Bukit Jalil Sports School's (BJSS) Arif ousted national player K. Yogendran in the second round of the tournament in Singapore and went on to reach the semi-finals before losing narrowly to Chun Seang.

Kwong Beng, who was placed under the charge of national singles coach Misbun Sidek three months ago, defeated two Project 2010-2012 players – Liew Daren and Lim Kenn in the second round and quarter-finals respectively.

In the preceding Vietnam Challenge, Kwong Beng chalked up victories over Thai number two Poompat Sapkulchananart and Yogendran en route to reaching the semi-finals.

The doubles pair of Khoo Chung Chiat-Chang Hun Pin, partnering each other for the first time, also showed promise in denying Indonesians Mohamed Ahsan-Bona Septano a second successive title on Saturday.

The Indonesian pair had beaten Cho Gun-woo-Yoo Yeon-seong of South Korea in the final of the Vietnam Challenge.

National chief coach Yap Kim Hock hoped that the players in the back-up squad would continue to show improvement in the coming months because they would be carrying the challenges for Malaysia in the Korat SEA Games in December.

“We intend to give the back-up players their big break in the SEA Games. They will be fighting for honours because the seniors will concentrating on the Super Series tournaments to earn ranking points for qualification to the Beijing Olympics next year,” he said.

“We will also consider players from both the Project 2010-2012 squad and also those from BJSS in naming the squad of 10 players for the Games.

“Chun Seang has showed consistency in the two smaller tournaments and he deserves the chance to prove his worth in the SEA Games. We hope that all the juniors will be commited to the task to improve on their game in the coming months.”

Kim Hock believes that Malaysia still have the chance to challenge strongly for medals at the Games even if they were represented by the youngsters.

The 20-year-old Chun Seang said that besides the bid to improve on his current number 44 world rankings, his other target this year was to make the squad for the SEA Games.

“Having won the two titles, I hope I will be given the chance to play in the SEA Games. I will continue to work on improving my game,” said Chun Seang, who is considered the top player among the six under the charge of Rashid Sidek.
