Q1. Firstly you have been the most loved artist of May and have won the music award Song of the month and Rookie of the month, congratulations. Please give us your thoughts on this
A1. Fire is the first song we have released under our name and has a lot of meaning to it. We can't thank all the fans who supported us enough. We are very happy because of this and we will try even harder.
Q2. Please introduce to us Fire.
A2. Fire is the song that introduces us 2NE1, and seeing as this is our debut song, to give a more strong impression we used hip hop as the basic and tried to display each member's character. Whilst Teddy oppa was making this song, he talked to each of us to help us find our character.
Q3. We can see that each member has a different colour and character. Please introduce yourselves.
A3. CL: I am the team leader, and have the position of rapper. I would like to show a powerful stage. Park Bom: In the team I have the role of unique voice. Dara: I have the sweet voice in the team, also the atmosphere maker of the team. I will show different sides of me. Minzy: I have the role of maknae and vocal. I will try my best to show powerful dancing and vocals.
Q4. Right now, Fire is a hiphop concept, but if you had the chance to try a different genre song, which would you pick?
A4. We would like to try various genres in the future. But because our members all like hip hop, hip hop will be the basic, but we will also try to mix a different genre into it. Through this we would like to show a unique 2NE1 colour.
Q5. Lastly, please say something to your fans.
A5. Thank you so much for supporting us and for your love as soon as we debuted. In the future we will show you our hardworking sides. We ask all Cyworld fans to support us and have interest in us.
2NE1, “Our role models are Lee Hyori and Um Jung Hwa”
Group 2NE1 has revealed that they take singers Lee Hyori and Um Jung Hwa as their role models.
They were on MBC radio ‘Park Kyung Rim’s Starry Night’ on 2nd June for their first radio show when they were asked, “Which seonbae singer do you want to be like” and the answer was Lee Hyori and Um Jung Hwa. Park Bom has answered Lee Hyori while the rest of the members answered Um Jung Hwa.
And about the males stars they like, Park Bom answered Jang Dong Gun, Sandara Park answered Won Bin, CL answered 1TYM Teddy and MinJi answered Brad Pitt.
The girls also talked a little about the behind story of becoming a singer. Park Bom said, “I was a kid who love and enjoy singing. And in America, my parents sent to me a music university where I studied for 3 years.” Park Bom also shed some tears talking about studying for 3 years at the university and then transitting to be a trainee.
Sandara Park said, “When I heard Seo Taiji’s songs, I wanted to be a singer. Even as I was promoting as an entertainer in the Philippines, I still hold the dream to sing in Korea.”
CL also added, “I had the dream to be a singer after my dad let me listent to singer Lauryn Hill’s music.” Youngest member Gong Minji said, “Through the words of my grandmother Mrs Gong OkJin, we have to be modest on stage.”
'Female Big Bang' 2NE1 "Our group name almost became Sunami"

Rookie group 2NE1 who came out on Park Kyung Lim's Starry Night on the 2nd, told of the episodes of their debut and their group name selection.
CL, Dara, Park bom and Minzy who are the 4 members of 2NE1 have been a hot issue before their debut as used to be called 'female big bang' and now their debut song 'Fire' has been taking over the online charts.
Park Kyung Lim started the talk with 2NE1 by mentioning that big bang came on her show before Starry Night 'Shim Shim ta pa.' Also, the story of Dara starring in a filipino drama was told.
2NE1 revealed the episode of their group naming. It was said that in the early morning a few hours before they were to debut the name 2NE1 was quickly decided on. A few names that were on the list of their group names were 'Sunami', 'cool chicks', 'Yangssa's kids' and so on.
Also, the senior they wanted to be like the most were, Lee Hyori for Park bom and Uhm Jung Hwa for Dara, Minzy and CL. For their favourite celebrities, Park bom chose Jang Dong Gun, Dara chose Won Bin, CL chose 1TYM's Teddy and Minzy chose Brad Pitt.
DJ PKL also expressed her feelings of the girls by saying 'By looking at 2NE1 who has the cute energy, I get stronger too'

2NE1 will appear on only SBS Inkigayo to appear this week for the 3rd time again.
The group will perform their debut song ‘Fire’ on 7th June on SBS Inkigayo, this is their 3rd consecutive appear only on the show after their debut stage on 17th May.YG has earlier revealed that even though the girls are newcomers, they will not focus on the number of times they appear on music broadcast programmes but the quality of their performances. And they had set for the girls to appear on music programmes once a week.
But there have been doubts amongst netizens that YG did not choose not to let the girls appear on music shows on KBS and MBC etc but rather YG could not etc.
A YG representative said, “The only way we thought we can let the girls improve on their performance quality is to allow them on music shows only once a week. Plus Inkigayo has shown much interests in 2NE1’s performance and gave us the support we needed for filming and stuff, hence we decided with them. And about the girls not being able to go on KBS and MBC, well with time everyone will know.
2NE1 wins 3 awards on Cyworld Digital Music Awards
Group 2NE1 won 3 awards for Cyworld Digital Music Awards (CDMA).
The group won the ‘Song of the Month’ with the song ‘Lollipop’ sang together with group Big Bang during the 34th CDMA, and then they won ‘Song of the Month’ again and ‘Rookie of the month’ with their debut song ‘Fire’ for the 35th CDMA.The song ‘Fire’ has also sold a record of 200,000 singles sold on CyWorld.This is wonderful results delivered considering that the group has not debuted more than a month, and have won song the of the month twice and also rookie of the month.Meanwhile, the girls will be in Seoul GunGook university on 10th June to perform infront of 800 over fans. 2NE1, with a differnet look will release their first offline album in July
4 member girl group 2NE1 will be releasing a new album in July. This is getting a lot of interest as it will be an offline album.
Last May, 2NE1 debut with 'Fire' as a digital single and is gaining a lot of popularity on online music charts. On the 6th a spokesperson from YGE revealed "2NE1 will be releasing a 6 song mini album in July, and we did say the album may be coming out this month but due to the schedule of a new music video shoot it has been delayed."
Also, this album is the first album for 2NE1. The album that is to be released in July has a different concept to 'Fire'. They will show a different look that is more of a girly type concept.
