几个小时后，全部人获准重新回到航站大厦，但是几千人把航站挤得寸步难行。

之后，当局宣布当晚所有的航班取消，乘客需要自己上网免费更改航班，或通过机场的航空公司柜台处理更改航班或退票。现场场面非常火爆和混乱，许多人在拥挤的航空公司柜台前等了好几个小时，才轮到他们处理机票的事情。加上当时是Easter假期，航班爆满，要安排乘搭下一个航班更是没那么容易。我决定退票，购买隔天中午从伦敦回Glasgow的巴士车票。

夜里，数千人因为附近的饭店住宿饱满，只好留宿在机场。虽然我拥有丰富的机场过夜经验，但是这还是首次与这么多人在机场就地而睡。机场还分派食物和饮用水，场面就像难民营一样。

知道次日31日，我才回到伦敦市，从Victoria Coach Station搭了11个小时的巴士回去Glasgow。当晚11时多才抵达Glasgow，距离原本预定抵达时间晚了超过24小时。
