The existing Contract was for a period of two (2) years and nine (9) months effective from 1 October 2016 to 30 June 2019 at a contract value of RM62,582,060.80.
BHICAS is a joint venture between BHIC Defence Technologies Sdn Bhd (51 percent), Prestige Pillar Sdn Bhd (30 percent) and Airbus Helicopters Malaysia Sdn Bhd (19 percent).
The Company wishes to announce that BHICAS has received and accepted the letter from Kementerian Dalam Negeri on behalf of the Government for the purpose of extending the Contract period for another one (1) year, effective from 1 July 2019 (“the Extended LOA”). There is no change to the consideration under the letter.
Apart from the extension of the Contract period, there are no significant differences between the substance of the Contract and the Extended LOA.
The LOA will contribute positively to the earnings of BHIC Group for the financial year ending 31 December 2019 and 31 December 2020.

(吉隆坡23日讯)联营计划贡献降低及联号公司蒙亏,莫实得重工(BHIC,8133,主板交通物流组 )截至2019年6月30日止第二季净利重挫59.28%至293万9000令吉,前期为721万7000令吉。
上半年由盈转亏,蒙受135万9000令吉亏损,前期为净利1171万8000令吉。
第二季营业额增长9.70%至5393万令吉,上半年营收增长1.52%至9022万5000令吉。
莫实得重工文告表示,上半年蒙亏是由于联营计划的贡献降低、联号公司亏损以及更高的融资成本。
展望未来,该公司表示,国防部将在今年10月提呈国防白皮书,该公司对未来的商机深感鼓舞,因之前已获政府颁发多项合约。
该公司预期在2019年杪交付第一艘近海巡逻舰(LSM 1)。
海军造船厂與政府签附加合约不影响盈利
另一方面,莫实得重工在另一份文告中指出,联号公司莫实得海军造船厂在8月20日和政府签署附加合约,这将不会影响该公司盈利。
莫实得海军造船厂是在今年3月收到政府信函,以修改该公司和中国伙伴供应及交付4艘近海巡逻舰给大马皇家海军的条款。

Bhd. (BDNC) received a letter from the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) claiming Liquidated Damages amounting to RM11,647,812.00 and EUR6,461,195.09 (the Claim) for the breach of obligations under the first supplemental contract of the In-Service Support for two (2) units of Prime Minister-Class for the Royal Malaysian Navy Submarines Contract (Extended ISS Contract).
BDNC is a joint venture company between BHIC Defence Technologies Sdn. Bhd. (60%), a wholly owned subsidiary of BHIC and Naval Group (40%).
The Extended ISS Contract was awarded to BDNC by MINDEF through the Additional Letter of Acceptance dated 29 September 2015. The announcement was made on 15 October 2015. The Board of BHIC is of the opinion that BDNC has adequate bases to defend and appeal against the Claim.
BDNC is currently responding to the demand.
The Claim is not expected to have any material financial impact on BHIC Group for the financial year ending 31 December 2020.
BHIC Group has recognised share of losses of interest in BDNC when applying the equity method up to its interest in the joint venture.

Bhd. (BDNC) had accepted a letter from the Ministry of Defence Malaysia (MINDEF) on 16 June 2020, awarding BDNC a contract for provision of In-Service Support for Prime Minister’s Class Submarines for the Royal Malaysian Navy (Contract). This Contract is for a period of one year starting 1 January 2020 at a contract value of RM154.3 million. A formal contract between MINDEF and BDNC will be signed at a later date.
BDNC is a joint venture company between BHIC Defence Technologies Sdn. Bhd. (60%), a wholly owned subsidiary of BHIC, and Naval Group (40%).
The Contract will contribute positively to BHIC Group’s current year earnings.
None of the directors or substantial shareholders of the Company, or persons connected with them, has any interest, direct or indirect, in the Contract.

Type | Announcement | Subject | OTHERS | Description | RECEIPT OF A LETTER FOR THE EXTENSION OF CONTRACT DURATION FOR THE PROVISION OF INTEGRATED MAINTENANCE AND LOGISTIC SUPPORT SERVICES FOR THE MALAYSIAN MARITIME ENFORCEMENT AGENCY ("MMEA") BY BHIC AEROSERVICES SDN BHD ("BHICAS") | We refer to the announcements made on 13 October 2016, 14 February 2017 and 4 July 2019 with regard to the contract entered between Kementerian Dalam Negeri Malaysia and BHICAS in relation to the provision of Integrated Maintenance and Logistic Support Services for three (3) units of Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency Dauphin AS365N3 helicopters ("the Contract”).
BHICAS is a joint venture between BHIC Defence Technologies Sdn Bhd (51 percent), Prestige Pillar Sdn Bhd (30 percent) and Airbus Helicopters Malaysia Sdn Bhd (19 percent).
The Company wishes to announce that BHICAS has on 30 June 2020 accepted a letter from Kementerian Dalam Negeri Malaysia for the extension of Contract period for another one (1) year, effective from 1 July 2020 (“the Extended LOA”). The Contract is now for a period from 1 July 2016 to 30 June 2021 with a new total ceiling contract value of RM70,741,825.64.
Apart from the extension of the Contract period and revision of Contract value, there are no significant differences between the substance of the Contract and the Extended LOA.
The LOA will contribute positively to the earnings of BHIC Group for the financial year ending 31 December 2020 and 31 December 2021.
None of the directors or substantial shareholders of the Company, or persons connected with them have any interest, direct or indirect, in the Contract.
