当初要波霸回锅我是坚决反对的，现在如果他要走，或是有儿皇梦或子弹梦，我也不会留，但是我非常受不了某些粉丝就是把负面的都集中在他身上。全队都烂，他往往被指责的最多。这是reddit上看到的，完全说出我的想法，我懒得翻译了。

Paul Pogba has been in the headlines again for Manchester United over the last 7 days and it has been a mixed bag for him. From being lauded by making it into the PFA's team of the season to criticized for not carrying the team on his shoulders in a tough period and lambasted and written about for allegedly wanting to leave his club. These stories aren't new and have been surfacing ever since he signed for the club in 2016 in a return to his boyhood club.

The problem with Pogba is that he's become a victim to his own skillset and attributes. A player that is so unique and a hybrid of what most top level midfielders in today's world are. By his critics, he's expected to do the job of a central midfielder, an attacking midfielder, a defensive midfielder and a leader on the pitch. The problem? That he's only one player.
People compare him to other top midfielders in the world, but does anybody really quite puts in a shift like Paul Pogba does?

Let's look at some of the top players Pogba is regularly compared to or pitched up against:


    N'Golo Kante : Often hailed as the best player in his position, Kante is rightfully regarded as one of the best midfielders in the world, but what does he do best? He presses well, goes on all game with his stamina, dispossesses the opposition and spreads the ball around.

    Kevin De Bruyne: KDB, although KDB hasn't produced as much as he did in the last 3 years, he's widely regarded as one of the best passers of the ball and an assist machine and how does he play? Presses well at times and has a decent tackle, carries the ball forward and makes plays and takes good shots from in and around the box. Usually spends most of his time in the middle and final third.

    Fernandinho: Fernandinho is often regarded as one of the main reasons why City are so good at what they do and he is a total no nonsense defensive midfielder, he destroys and breaks down play and spreads the ball around the park from his position and does it consistently. Usually starts between his centre backs and spends the time in the first two thirds of the field.


And what are some other top midfielders in the world? (just some examples)

    Luka Modric : Instrumental going forward, can dictate the tempo of his team and how they attack, great vision, long and diagonal passing, a tidy bit of flair and occasional pressing and tackling. Usually picks up the ball from deep and carries it forward before retreating back to a comfortable position where he can influence play best.

    Tony Kroos : Modric's partner in midfield who can spread the ball around the ground effortlessly, press well and get out of tight spaces with the ball. Plays to Modric's pace and very good at finding space.

    Thiago Alcantara : Great passer, exceptional dribbler and very good with his tackling. Thiago pulls up some serious flair and knows how to create space for himself in midfield and get his team going. Usually starts in his half and carries the ball passing it around back and forth till its in dangerous territory.

So which player does Paul play the most like? In my opinion, that'd be Thiago and you barely see them being compared.

None of the best midfielders are expected to quite do 'EVERYTHING' like Paul Pogba is expected to. Those who assist do not cover as much grass as him but those who do cover the grass aren't able to produce goalscoring and assisting numbers like him.

Pogba more often than not starts just around his own box and carries the ball spreading it around and tries to find himself in goalscoring positions in the opposition box. Even when the team is completely pressed up around the opponent's box you'll always find Pogba trying to create a decisive pass or opening around the box. He's always available around that position and going back while trying to defend, you'll always find him in and around the Manchester United box.

Yes his off the ball movement WHILE DEFENDING could massively improve, and sometimes giving the ball away in midfield might lead to dangerous chances for the opposition, I can't think of many other things that Paul does wrong. He's not naturally comfortable while defending but he does have a good tackle on him. The only defensive complaint I would have from him apart from his marking is that he does not win enough aerial duels as he should be with his size.


He contributes way more to this and his Manchester United team than any of the other top midfielders do to their teams but the world expects him to be some sort of superhuman like midfielder which sadly just does not exist. He's very good at what he does but we do not see that in this Manchester United team often . His best attribute is his playmaking which people call inconsistent but if you watch him week in and week out you know that he plays multiple through balls and long balls for United forwards to either horribly miscontrol, or take too much time to control or just not have enough to chase them.

- Martial always waits for the ball to come to his feet and then dribble whereas Dembele or Mbappe latches on to them and cross or dribble first time. That’s why Martial is inconsistent because he takes too much time and is one dimensional.

- Lingard is the only player who chases through balls but unfortunately he’s not quick enough nor does he have the end product on his first touch.

- Rashford beats his man but ends up taking the ball excessively wide to influence play in the final third.

- Sanchez is the only one who can control his balls very well but unfortunately he hasn’t been able to offer anything else and Big Rom really needs to check his entire style of play, he doesn’t get involved as much as he should or even when he does it’s in areas where it doesn’t even matter.

I'm not saying Pogba is completely blameless and should never be criticized but I feel like he gets too much stick for every mistake compared to almost everybody else and one of the only players who may be loved by every professional kicking a ball in the first division of European football but hated by most others off the pitch. He got into the PFA Player's Team of the Season, let's appreciate him for that achievement instead of trying to pin him down.

里尔已经收到了对尼古拉斯-佩佩的第一份报价，来自国米的70M欧元；
佩佩在5月5日对里昂的赛后再考虑未来，这场比赛将决定里尔本赛季最终是排名第二还是第三；
